Wow, the worst Conjuring movie in the entire franchise did gangbusters.
That figures. What a hell of a way to send it off on such a sour note-- but I guess we will be getting another one since it did so well at the box office.
They are out of written source material, so would need to write a new story besides the TLJ-inspired shit we got in "Last Rites" or whatever the fuck that was.

This entire finale, if you can call it that was basically taking pieces of the Kingsverse and putting it all in one episode. Doctor Sleep, The Mist without the cool monsters.

With Path of Exile 2 starting a new league last week I started listening to the audiobook again. There's two different recordings and I found a higher quality version of the older one that would have been on cassette. I've listened to both before and prefer the older but the quality on the version I had was not good.
It's still a headcracker that spends way too much time explaining Derry's gay scene or how attractive Beverly is but the stuff in the 1950s is really good. We've got a big section of the book devoted to showing them come together as friends with lots of interactions between different combinations of members of the Losers Club in the summer of 1958. Coming right from the show it shines a spotlight on just how boilerplate/ass the dialogue there actually is.
