We've bought some of their stuff and mostly like them considering the prices and alternatives, but it's a bit of a crapshoot. I had one of their top end keyboards come with super-obvious water damage to the keyboard and interior packaging. I would normally blame that on Amazon, but the exterior box/sleeve thing was perfect. Someone almost certainly got a damaged return, looked at it and went "eh fuck it, it's fine" and slapped a new outer box on an obviously fucked product.
two I got today were perfect and new. Also turns out that even though it's the same model #, they did a revision of these mice so now it works with bluetooth and 2.4ghz, they also released a new program to change button functions/lights that wasn't obvious. Good ol jank! Well they were cheap at least. Hell $30 won't buy you a drive thru meal for 2 people any more.

was using a keychron K4 which has a 96% layout and I hated it, it was too cramped for my sausage fingers.

Ended up buying a cheap 80% layout with a seperate numpad and Its way better. compatible with VIA so I am now able to create much more complex macros/layers compared to what I was able to do with the K4.

I spent 2 days on the tater (my libre le potato) with the planck and I think it is really going to work. I wrote alot of code and did alot of linuxing about on it. I'm going to go ahead and buy some good switches for it.

The thing that was hardest to get used to is the apostrophe. I still hit enter now and then by mistake alot.

The great thing is I can still type on an ordinary keyboard too. I was worried I'd have trouble going back and forth.

Went all in on a new keyboard. Grabbed the Corsair MAKR 75. Went with the pre-lubed Gateron Milky Yellows and couple GK Gamakay silents. Tried the Akko Rosewoods also, but they weren't the sound I was looking for.

Snagged some ceramic keycaps from Cerakeys...expensive as fuck (150 bones) if you were thinking about grabbing some. Also the decorative caps also were 50 bucks?

The feel and sound of this keyboard is amazing!! I liked the way it turned out.

Standard keyboard kit. I took it apart to see what it had for foam and shit. They did a great job with the mats.

had a kechron 96 , decided I like 104's better. I'm actually quite fine with this Redragon keyboard I have. Easy on the wallet too.

how serious are you? i'd recommend you get a topre keyboard then
Amazon.com: topre

if you don't like the cherry mx mechanical, the next best thing (or the best by some) would be to get a topre keyboard.

It's not going to have an ergo layout like the msergo4k, trust me i know, i built from scratch 2 msergo4k keyboards using cherry mx, but dude, those rubber dome keys on the msergo4k are dog shit.

You'll not find topre keyboards anywhere in the retail us

And yea i'm an ergo guy, my above post is my current keyboard the kinesis (i found it to perform as well as my built keyboard)
I went into a rabbit hole and almost bought topre keyboard twice, but ended up canceling my order because I couldn't justify the cost without having tried it. I've been using the the same ducky zero and filco ninja for over 10 years now (might be closer to 15 - things just blend together these days). Do you by chance know how it compares to cherry mx red switches?

no idea, if the ducky zero is a cherry mx red, then it's the same if the filco ninja is a cherry brown, then it has an actuation point w/ a bit more force

Thanks. I really like the cherry mx red feel, but was looking for something quieter that can't be heard while on the phone in meetings. RealForce just released the their R4 line, which looks interesting. Now I need one my keyboards to suffer an unrepairable accident, so my wife doesn't get pissed at me for buying an expensive keyboard.

The hhks look interesting, but I really want a full keyboard. I use the 10 key quiet a bit for work. RealForce has a really nice keyboard, but they are sold out on Amazon and rakuten. I ordered put in an order for one of the last 10 or so white keyboards on Amazon, but after seeing my 3 month old, I cancelled it.

yea, the topres will be quietier, in the land of new mechanical keyboards where everything in a cherry mx clone, nothing will sound as silent as a topre thock

Thanks, I'll try to pick one up after I get my bonus next year. Honestly, I could use a quieter keyboard for work. Given that I spend over 8 hours on my computer, and the last time I bought a keyboard Obama was president, I think I can justify it, sorta'.

Alright lads, the time for replacing my mouse and keyboard. I would appreciate some input and sage advice.

Currently I am using the Razer Black Widow V2 and a death adder. I love the smooth and silent linear switches, yet, I tire of the keyboard's lack of functions plastic feel and oversized bulk. The mouse I have grown to love but I want a new one regardless.

I can drop a little over $300 on the keyboard and some change on new key caps.

I've looked at a few models from Corsair and logitech, any other big players I should look into?
