Her character isnt even that ridiculous. She really is just trying to get BBT to give one fuck about her lol. The daughter on the other hand is such an over the top whore it makes it uncomfortable to watch and times because shes suppose to be a minor.

At least they showed that they realize how ridiculous those two are in the scene showing how horrified the college admissions lady was by the daughter. I have to admit I thought about shutting it off during the throwing plates at the wall scene.

If you have ever dated a Cuban chick (and Im sure this applies to lots of other latins), that plates against the wall scene is just another day that ends in a "y". Granted Larter isn't hispanic in the series, but it ain't exactly out of the realm of normal for some of us.

That scene with the admissions lady and her absolute disgust, and the daughter absolutely not even connecting what she is saying and instead celebrating "getting accepted" is perhaps the best scene in this whole fucking series and this show has had tons of great scenes.

Dumb lawyer girl boss bitch in season 1 and the sons whole plotline is the only bad parts of this show, the other girls are fucking killing it as well as bbt.

Opinion on season 2: Dinner scenes are the weakest part of most episodes.
It was clear Demi would have more of a role, assuming they didn't just pay her to swim all season.
BBT and a few of the actors are solid, interesting to see where they go with the new additions.

I haven't watched it. I have seen a number of ads that seem to pop up on sites often now.

I am "technically" a land man since the majority of my income now comes from mineral rights. Interesting take on "land men" being a take on J.R. Ewing types. I do wonder how many people that identify as a land man can even identify a pump jack. That includes my ex wifes dad that was a land man forever who lived 30 miles from Lufkin, TX a small town that makes Lufkin pumpjacks that are 95% or more of the type used in the US.

Having said that spiel I may watch it one day. I'm waiting for someone I know personally to give me their take on it.

It's pretty decent at portraying the oil field. The very first episode though has a super eye rolling scene involving BBTs son and his first experience out in the field. Also everyone in the show calls it "the Patch", maybe its a Midland thing but I grew up around the oil field (well control specifically) and I never heard anyone call it The Patch. It's a pretty fun watch though if you dont take it too seriously, perfect role for BBT.

Feel like they're missing the mark a bit. BBT going off on a tangent about breakfast food companies instead of how everything is made of oil? Really? Seemed too forced to me.

honestly as long as there is no stupid girl boss bitch like the lawyer from Season 1 then i think the show is the best one yet. All his shit turns to woke or retarded garbage after a season or two but I think he's out at paramount now so he's not even attached anymore?

This show is basically a good mix between Sicaro and Hell or High Water, the two best things he ever did, and it has BBT in it.

You don't honestly think that lawyer is off the show do you? She was in the trailers. She'll be back in a big way since a lot of this season focuses on Monty's legal problems before he died.

a man can hope can't he.

i'm sure she will show up to mary sue her way and end up scissoring demi moore in some "girls get it done" scene and then the show will end with all the whites giving away all the oil fields to the cartels who are really the descendants of the ancestral owners of the land and some other retarded shit, but i'm hoping it doesn't nose dive like everything else he does

Sheridan might technically be out at Paramount but Landman S02 was complete before that happened and he's still wrapping up his ongoing shows through 2028.

My thought of the term "landman" was always the sales/pitch guys who go out trying to buy your mineral rights or unify a parcel so that it can be drilled/exploited. I never thought landman meant just oil stuff in general.

I haven't watched season 2 yet maybe the son is doing that in season 2, but in season 1 he was very much just a roughneck.
