The point being is nobody wants any of these things to be crappy but they always are. However you get something that comes out of nowhere like Widow's Bay, for The Chair Company. Those are I guess the last two really memorable shows that I was completely enamored with. And I can't wait to see another season
As an apple hater there streaming content is killing everyone else

Oh hands down.

Amazon prime was doing their prime week or month or whatever the fuck recently, and I got 2 months of Apple for $5 a month and then I got MGM Plus for a dollar a month so I could catch up on stupid From. My wife was watching dumbass Ted Lasso which I loathe that show, but I was able to watch Widow's Bay.

I looked at Pluribus because I know a lot of you guys were talking it's pretty good, but I don't know how many seasons it is and like how long it's supposed to run for and I get kind of squirrely when it comes to you investing time into a show where who the hell knows if it's going to be completed or the whole story is going to be told.

I've just been burned too many times at this point and I'm real particular about stuff before I'm going to invest my viewing. At that point I'll go watch an old horror movie or Western it is at least don't know what the hell I'm going to get. Reminds me though I need to go and rewatch Battlestar Galactica, it's been a few years.

It's crazy how the white jews always write about the poor black people. They totally ignore reality where blacks kill white people at a much higher rate. Housing values follow demographic trends for a reason. Not because people just don't like black people. People don't like being robbed raped and murdered.

Maximum pleasure really is a good show despite the main actress being a retard in real life.

Oh Ted Lasso is horrible, I really like season 1 but have only been able to do 5 episodes over the last 3 seasons

Take out all the retarded black dialog that the mother had and it was a decent episode.

There was absolutely no need at all for that absurd shit. The father had a good story going for him in that he was a military man who, in the middle of the night, was surprised by an alien presence while sleeping and gave the wrong answer after it startled him. Guy then learned he was offered unimaginable super powers but because he gave the wrong 50 - 50 answer it went to the next schmuck. Fuck, that would drive me crazy too and ruin my life especially with literally no one, including my wife, believing me.

Perfect motivation right there to turn the youngest son into a brainwashed fearless machine to reacquire what you felt your family lost. You didn’t even need to have the guardian making an appearance, just leave it to the audience to determine if the father is a reliable narrator or bat shit PTSD crazy right up until the point John runs into the Guardian unexpectedly. Done. Finished.

Everything involving the mother was not only completely unnecessary but every single creative writing or english teacher on the planet in the 90’s to early 2000 would have crossed that entire portion out and asked you point blank why you felt that was necessary. All the bullshit about being scared because you’re black, white privilege regarding Hal, and literally all of the racial dialog with the alien would have earned you a failing grade.

It wasn’t even done well it’s like there was the original writer who wrote the script and passed it off to be submitted and some shit intern decided to randomly scribble between paragraphs “and then the crazy black mother gave one of the strongest alien species in existence a lecture about race and claimed the ring selection process was discriminatory to black people”.

Season 3 of Foundation was really good I thought as well (Empire/Daemazel stuff mostly)

Foundation season 3 was great.

Can add Slow Horses, Dark Matter, Star City (its wayyy better then For All Mankind, even the earlier seasons), Black Bird, Monarch, and Margo's got Money Problems to that list above

It’s always the same fucking people. Always.

The Green Lantern power ring is one of the most powerful weapons in the DC Universe. It can fly across galaxies, translate alien languages, create constructs limited largely by the imagination of its bearer, and seek out individuals capable of overcoming great fear. But according to one of the writers behind HBO’s Lanterns, it’s also super sexist.

Vanessa Baden Kelly, who wrote the controversial third episode of Lanterns, “OutKast,” revealed during an interview with Collider that she repeatedly argued in the writers’ room that John Stewart’s mother, Bernadette, should have been selected as Green Lantern if the ring were not sexist.

“The thing that I would always say in the room is that if the ring wasn’t sexist, Bernadette would have been chosen, because she really is just the most fearless of everybody,” Kelly said.

Edit: “Vanessa Baden Kelly was hired as a writer and co-executive producer for Lanterns because of her established industry experience and success in television drama.

An Emmy-Winning Track Record: She won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2019 for her work on the digital drama series Giants.

Premium Television Experience: Before joining Lanterns, she worked as a writer and story editor on several high-profile television series, including Animal Kingdom on TNT, The Sex Lives of College Girls on Max, and The Morning Show on Apple TV+.

Additionally, Baden Kelly has a long history in television, having originally started her career as a prominent child actress starring in Nickelodeon's Gullah Gullah Island and Kenan & Kel during the 1990s.”
