Overview: In post-samurai era Japan, 1878, 292 fallen samurais are lured into a survival game where the last competitor standing claims 100 billion yen. The battleground begins at Tenryuji Temple in Kyoto, a historical hub and spiritual sanctuary, and ends in Tokyo. Only one survivor will come out of this mysterious and deadly game.

Haven't seen a show use AI to lip sync before, it's pretty impressive. Not perfect but swap between Japanese and English to see it in action.

How on Earth could you watch 20 minutes of that lady even though she's got nice boobs? I understand that might be rhetorical, but why?

Just her goddamn voice isn't going to make me sit there and listen to 20 minutes of her bullshit, and the only reason she's making a review video about a samurai series and has Funko pops and dolls and stuff in her background is because she is too timid to maybe get on only fans.

That was pretty great. This whole thing was pretty mindless chop chop but entertaining. Doesn’t fully rise to ridiculous over the riot anime fighting or Crouching Tiger wire fu. It is fun.

Some of the camera work during the skirmishes is really interesting. The restaurant fight going in and out of the shelves and between people’s legs all while this brawl is going on was new to me and fun without being a shaky camera vomit inducing mess.

Kanjiya was cool in a walking indiscriminate murder machine. Gentosai seems like a cool villain. Glad they made the bow user an effeminate androgynous homo since that is what all now users are, obviously. Easy 6 episodes to throw on for mindless sword fighting with some cool scenes.

Gentosai is the one they were training to replace, right? His skill level doesn't really make sense unless he is their predecessor.

I think the flashback referred to him as a henchmen or boogeyman of sorts under the employ of the successor to the Kyohachi thingamajig school

If the kids all went through with the Kodoku in the past and there was a winner, how could any of them be worthy of the title of successor if they couldn't even beat the master's henchman? Just seems to me like there's more to him. Or maybe the Manslayer really has been the only one capable of beating him the whole time.

First ep looks well-shot. All you can really ask for in Samurai bullshit.
