Who the fuck is Katie?
I'm guessing the dude's daughter. There was a picture of a dad holding a young girl, and I'm assuming maybe the main character is the dad who becomes the mummy man and maybe goes out on a quest for revenge using his mummy man powers.

So I guess they have to call it Lee Cronin's The Mummy because there are already like 10 movies just called "The Mummy" and trying to tell them apart is hard?

They could have gone with The Mummy Man and it may have gotten me to go to the theater.

Decent trailer. Definitely will check it out.

Cringed really hard at the mention of Weapons at the beginning. That isn't a ringing endorsement except among the critics who overhyped it.

Just felt tacky and stupid to mention "Weapons" like this movie can't stand by itself. Great trailer besides that one moment.

Weapons is hardly a phenom and shouldn't be used as some endorsement for a real horror movie like this. But I accept that's on the marketing guys, and has nothing to do with the creatives involved on this project.

It seems that movie was very polarizing. I myself actually enjoyed it quite a bit and I thought it was a step up from Barbarians. Is it the greatest horror movie I've ever seen, absolutely not, but it's a good movie, and I never felt it was a waste of time.

I guess it gets lumped in with the marketing though because it was one of the last more successful horror films to come out recently.

But are you ready for The Mummy Man!?!

I don't think anyone who enjoys movies/tv shows can shit on them like most of us in this thread have and then come in and talk about how bad Weapons was.

Weapons had a story, defined characters, and coherent vision on how it was going to convey those things to the audience. It might have some holes and not be the best horror movie ever, but it is better than 99% of the shit that has come out over the last decade. It was great to just watch and enjoy without characters literally telling you their motivations and bitching about *insert current event*. That has to count for something in this period of absolute garbage.
