Lee Cronin's The Mummy (2026)

Out on torrents now, since I guess nobody in this thread bothered to see it in theaters.

Yes, it was basically a cross between an exorcist remake and a new evil dead remake. Which, if that sounds good to you, it had plenty of gross body horror to satisfy.

As far as the actual story, they could have done a bit more with it. I think Cronin was so preoccupied with making fake-outs that he didn't have time to fully flesh out the lore as much as I would have liked.

Basically its an Evil Dead movie (Rise, not the original) with the mummy name slapped on it to get funding from New Line Cinema who financed the movie.

If you like the new Evil Dead Rise movie that Cronin did, then you will find it serviceable since it's very similar using a deadite storyline with the same directing, editing, and story beats.

With a little bit of Conjuring 1 thrown in.

Nah. Just noisy and annoying. Someone needs to tell Hollywood that little girls haven't been creepy since Linda Blair.

It's a few movies cribbed together. With 5 jumpscares a minute.
