Apparently, the DLC is a challenge even for seasoned players, so they added difficulty levels to give casual players a fighting chance. I think it's now also an option in the base game.

They really picked the dumbest time possible to remove this from Game Pass. If it was still on there, I'd buy the DLC even at its rather steep price tag, but there's no way in hell I'm buying the whole package when I've already beaten the base game.

Judging by the impression from seasoned players, this looks very promising. Elites 2-shot you, and most other trash mobs 3–4-shot you. No wonder they added difficulty levels. I'm gonna get my ass handed to me with my NG+3 character.

Impression from an experienced player:emoji_grin:
I breezed through the base game, the most I died to a single boss was laxasia at 7 deaths. I beat Nameless in 3 attempts.
This ice elephant killed me more times than any boss in the base game. And the 2nd boss is insanely tough.
And I love it.
