Really?

I am sorry that this lacks two men falling in love with sex scenes. Not every show has to be current agenda.

If it is because only men should be involved against the Supernatural, well the 1950's called and they want their Agenda back.
Wormie likes his tv shows like he likes his porn - dudes only.

Pretty decent show. Few plotholes that irritated me, but world is interesting. Characters are decent. Hopefully they don't go romance plot because I'm just not a fan of romance being forced in EVERY show, but obviously they've been foreshadowing it.

Lockwood does look like Tennant Jr for sure. I even thought that before I read that in this thread. Like close to a dead ringer. The girl gives me Jewel Staite from Firefly vibes a little bit with her roundish face and eyes.

I really want to know more about The Incident or whatever. Like, obviously people did it and are continuing to keep it going for whatever purpose, but is it just England? Is America effected? I want to see the Agent equivalent in America just fucking unloading Assault Rifles with iron bullets into ghosts while these fancy bois are swishing around desperately.

All in all, pretty good show. I'd say 8/10 ish. Not one of those you're waiting for season 2 desperately but when it comes out you'll go "Oh? Fuck yeah!" and binge the whole series.

Swords in modern settings is typically eyeroll material, but I like the way they do it here

You may be watching a YA show if :

A teacher supervising a field exercise that he assigned, has 90% of his students die and then is found not liable *for any reason whatsoever*. If God himself came down from heaven and whacked the kids, that teacher is still getting crucified, probably literally.

Disregarding eye-witness testimony because.. 'uh ? reasons I guess ?' is one thing, but that whole scenario is less plausible than the ghosts.

Other than that, the show is kinda fun, and has some charm to it.

I'm loath to defend the show on this point but here goes anyhow. They were showing how little value these kids really have to the powers that be. Basically by the time they get good at their job their powers start waning, in addition those without powers are jealous. The teacher in question was a POS coward and the "School" still valued him more than the kids.

Oh sure, 'adults are dumb and just don't understand' along with 'life is just so, like, unfair' are the staples of the YA genre, it's just this particular example impressed me with how ridiculously unrealistic it was.

Dumb is written in the script. Only kids can see, sense and defend against ghosts but somehow these same ghosts are a threat to adults. Also, these adults seem to be able to see them well enough to be scared of those ghosts unless it doesn't fit the plot. When the leader of the opposing team was flailing at one which he could no longer see how did he even know one was there? If adults can see them why can't they use the weapons against them? Iron and the hand grenade things should still work fine.
