Not sure they needed to make the bosses tougher, especially when you turn on additional enemies etc. but more content is always good.

After the 2.0 update I went through probably 75% of the game 1-shotting every boss outside of the scripted deaths. Even then it was some mechanic where the ground fills with lava and you have run upstairs, then killed him easily after knowing that.

I didn't play The Surge 2, looked like shit.
I just find playing this game tedious, the combat is boring, the exploration is tedious, and the bosses are bad. I just don't dig it. Most of the weapons don't move me, I haven't tried the magic, and the idea that I can run out of rocks to throw in a world of ruin irks me.
Some games don't click.

The Surge 1 was definitely more of a maze world than Surge 2 was. Surge 2 was very open world in comparison. It was hard to get lost in Surge 2 compared to Surge 1.

I had the opposite. Surge 1 was straightforward and don't remember ever getting lost or not knowing where to go. Surge 2 I stopped playing after running around in circles until I stopped caring
