Just remember its an MMO and with most MMO's - they make you sit through some insufferable fucking leveling process to actually get to shit thats fun. So much shit to do and learn at 50 that I was lost for a good day or two even with guides staring me right in the face. I personally am enjoying the game but I already knew/heard the story sucks and leveling was shit, so I blitzed through that process.

For those wondering about not getting Twitch drops while watching a stream, you might need to go here:

Twitch Drops | Lost Ark - Free to Play MMO Action RPG

And RE-ACTIVATE your link. That is what I had to do in order for the new drops to start updating.

They also mention it could take up to 24hrs for the Drop to show up ingame after you claim it.

Haven't played it yet, but from the discussion a few days ago, I believe the consensus was that it's pay for conveniences, not for power.

It depends on your definition of Pay to win.

Do you need to pay to "beat" the game - no.
Are Pvp and the Tier3 raids normalized, no advantage with money - yes, except guild vs guild and open world island pvp. Paying gets you to Tier3 faster.
Does paying money give you in-game advantages, cut down on farming time - yes
Is the game designed with paying to cut down insane grind times - yes
Does a person who pays get a tangible advantage over someone who does not - yes. They will increase their gear score far faster and higher gear score = more content and groups
Is there a limit to how much you can pay to gain advantages? - no. You can keep swiping as much as you want to, and it will help you get to that end game point faster.

Do you consider this pay to win? If so, it is. If not, it isn't.

I'm totally free to play and I'm having fun. If the game stops being fun to the point where I feel like I need to pay to proceed at a reasonable pace, I'll quit, and I'm playing with that in mind.

The advantages are just resources but there are alot of guides that show you how to get those resources more abundantly and free. The seas hold boat loads of resources at the cost of a little time and effort. i got like 50k resources and 100k pirate coins just fuckin around in the ocean and sailing to different islands yesterday.

Im assuming hes just catching the basics of it and his friend leveled to 50, then used the free power pass to lvl another 50. Nevermind that you can transfer knowledge for free after both power passes are used up. But blind hate is always more fun.

I'll ask him but I don't think he hit 50 first. I'll see if I can dig up the screenshot of what he bought.

He was level 20 on a Gunner and then next update I heard he was looking at buying a level 50 or a new class. I said just go zerker and faceroll it. He sent some receipt of a purchase but I didn't look into it any further.

To be clear I directly asked "you can buy 50's?" and seemed to get an affirmative reply. It was vague, but a receipt of some type of boost was shown, and he was on the character allegedly. I pressed as far as you can for info, not really "blind hate". I asked interrogative questions about it.

Found it. Again I don't know much about it, but it was given to me in response to a direct question about purchasing level 50's.

This was provided after I asked "how much does it cost". I don't understand the currency and didn't see a USD value amount, so I dropped the subject right after since his screenshot reply made no sense to me and I was busy playing another game.

He did go on to tell me he liked Zerker a lot and he seemed to imply he was playing on a new level 50 character that he just purchased from the store.

The implication was you can purchase level 50's directly from the store. If you have another interpretation or more information go ahead and drop it now.

Man this game's main appeal seems to be the combat but it spends so much time throwing 9,000 notifications and giving you quests to navigate the messy UI for the first hour of the game.

I took Kirun meming it to be more of an affirmative answer that yes 50's are available on the store on launch day. How relevant that is to player power-- I'm not here to argue that, so he'll have to find someone else that's more interested in the game than me.

I saw someone asked how much pay2win there is. If people are buying 50's on day 1, Tearofsoul Tearofsoul should be able to get an answer on that. I offered what I knew of it. Buying fully leveled characters on launch day is one of the highest marks of a pay2win system and potential players should know about it. If I'm mistaken about it, I said that could be a possibility.

But let's keep it facts, not feelings. Cut the spin.

Here's the thing. You're talking about facts. You are not presenting facts. Perhaps before trying to talk from a position of knowledge you should attempt to know what it is you're talking about.

You cannot buy a fresh 50. You can't enter the shop and order a 50.

After you level a character to 50 you're able to boost two extra alts to max level. This is not a P2W service as EVERYONE IN THE GAME INCLUDING F2P USERS received these passes upon hitting 50 and completing content up until a certain point.

Starting to see how dumb your posts look?

Edit: The screenshot you provided (level Complete Pack (lvl 50) isn't what you think it is and further proves that you should stop talking. It's literally a pack for additional currency which you can buy in the store once you reach level 50. The currency is used to buy amazing P2W shit (such as a character appearance change slot).

I had, and still have, no reason to believe this guy hit 50 first. I don't know how he would go from 20 to 50 overnight.

I'm doing my due diligence in the face of memes and misdirection.

Instead of offering ways he might have achieved 50-- can you say on the record right now that you cannot buy level 50 characters from the cash shop? Why is that so hard?

It takes me about 9 hours to get to 50 from a fresh character. It is not difficult to do this 'overnight'. You would know this if you knew anything about a topic that you're on a gaming message forum discussing.

You're asking me if I am able to, on the record right now say that you cannot buy level 50 characters from the cash shop. I answered that already. Read the post you quoted?
