i kept hearing this movie sucked but because its more like terminator than the original megan
well, its not. it just sucks. its PG, 80% of the movie is just people talking, and the action scenes suck. Its not really terminator at all, just bad action scenes between two tiny chicks flipping and shit. the main lead, gemma, is infuriatingly annoying, self-righteous, and stupid so its hard to give a single fuck about anything happening in the movie
never saw the original but don't bother with this garbage

The original is a B-/B horror film. It doesn't do all that much new but it was nice to get a competent, high concept sci fi horror flick (with a reasonable runtime) akin to what used to be pretty common in the 80s and 90s. Throw in a meme dance and some fortuitous bit of viral marketing and you're got yourself a hit.
