Marathon - Bungie Extraction Shooter

No interest in that particular genre, and i thought it looked like it was gonna be a Bungie wipeout game before the shooter aspect started. Looks pretty as fuck tho.

This however looks like a name grab on something totally unrelated, or its just jumped forward so much its all AIs fighting for supermecy

I didn't play destiny and don't really care for Halo; but extraction shooters have been an absolute blast over the last few years.. add voip to the mix, and there is nothing like someone begging for their life because they're just having a bad day or hearing the shit-eating grin through their pleas of being friends knowing damn well they're about to betray you. That and killing and/or losing value upon death gives weight and replayability; imo.

This has nothing to do with Marathon.

It's what Sony wanted vs. a sequel to the original game.

I would say it’s a different universe and time, it’s a lore thing too. Whatever on the ship, may be an old AI. I never play marathon but I know it’s lore. I’m excited, gives me an excuse to get into extracts shooters.

I genuinely hope the first ones shown the door in the recent layoffs were members of the pronoun mafia.

Hate is not a strong enough word for how I feel about 'people' that buy in to that worldview.

In my opinion, the world is better off without them because they've conspicuously shown that they're idiots and/or too weak to think for themselves/critically.
