And even more so on the Xbox console. So my guess is what were traditionally strong console sales for bungie is no longer the case as a result of the pay wall for online being cancelled in mass as people are tired of it. That has a major trickle down effect in which games are being purchased.

I online game on pc. Consoles are primarily only single player couch affairs. I have a month of PSN left and have no plans to re-up

I end up bringing my gaming rig into the theater room now. I have a small board I place it on so it isn't on the carpet, HDMI Arc Out to my receiver through the OLED, plug in the Wifi 6 antenna and Nova Pro Wireless for when I need a headset, and easily switch sound sources. Xbox Wireless controller - everything works perfectly. Almost getting to the point of selling all the consoles and putting it towards a second gaming rig so I do not have to move it from my office to my other room.

I’m considering that for next “gen.” I got some serious sunk cost fallacy in PlayStation Trophies. It’ll end up a switch and pc. I could also move my current pc now and be done.

All they have to do is just allow online play for free and it cures a lot of bitching. If you really tear through games I think the upper tier of PSN is worth it if you get it during a sale.

My older kid was exclusively a xbox gamer since he was like 14-15. Me and the younger kid used to bust his balls about it since were both more mature and upstanding PC players. This year, because of the fees, he said fuck that and switched wholesale to PC. Kinda remarkable since all his online buds were all xboners. Did they all switch? Who knows.

Third map Outpost is actually incredible, it's a master class in design. Solo or teams, it funnels everyone on the map into a similar goal, resulting in great fights and loot. I said it would play like Stella Montis, and it's similar, but much more complicated.

Can't wait for the final map which is being opened ARG style as is the way with Bungie. Imagine going into a Queen or Matriarch event and knowing you won't be going against any free kits.

This game is doing some things very right.

Wait, do you need PS plus or whatever the console subscription is to play online? I always assumed you did not for online only games like Marathon or Planetside 2. I don't touch the PS5pro except for VR these days.

Yeah it’s required. They also are giving away a 14 day premium sub with purchase of the game. (Meaning you have to sign up for it and then remember to cancel)

I literally have no idea why a handful of games do not require PS Plus. They are typically a lot older with a cash shop. So my guess is Sony makes royalty off that instead combined with the fact most are older or maybe they had some sort of agreement with the publisher. Destiny 2 didn't require PS Plus but Marathon does.

But when is the last time anything made sense with Sony.

So retarded. You are correct, and DO need to pay for PS Plus for Marathon. But not for the 6 people who play Planetside 2 on PS4/5 lol. Wonder why they go that route, maybe a $ony thing...

I was, at first, hoping Bungie got dismantled and their ass kicked. But now I thought it over. Keep all these cucks in one place so we know what not to buy and these skill-less DEI socialist hacks stay under one banner rather than spread out and infest other studios like locusts.

Considering that is happening right now, while GDC already started a couple days ago, I would guess Sony is about ready to ass whoop Bungie out.

Hiroki Totoki was already sick of them in 2024 - I am sure he has had it about now unless, like I said, he is laundering money for the Yakuza :p

Most of bungie will more than likely get sacked with full Sony control and no independence while taking over their IP's and bring in a new dev house to make use of them.
