playing a little bit atm, just thought I'd remind people that Tahiti is the same state it was at end of service, aka worst update ever.

as someone who quit well before then, this feels fucking awful.

I could be overreacting due to not being used to playing a fresh account and just generally being kinda negative but they made a bunch of changes to dumb the game down for a console release. The big thing for me is you dont spend resource to dash anymore, instead everyone has 3 dashes that slowly recharge one at a time. You do get your travel power at lvl 10 which I think is earlier than it used to be? But it just feels slow.

Also I swear you used to get skill points and chose how to allocate them to skills right, like Diablo? That's gone, all skills just have one rank now.

Ya I liked the old system better too, I was confused at first when I played Tahiti because I didn't play after the BUE.

Yeah, I remember the point allocation system. It's a bit disappointing, but honestly, most systems like that tend to funnel players into cookie-cutter builds anyway unless they're as deep as something like Path of Exile.

As for dashes being charge-based, I actually prefer that approach. In Soulslike games, stamina makes sense and feels more grounded, but in ARPGs, charges just feel better to use IMO. That's why I almost always run Frostblink or Flame Dash in PoE. The "charges" system makes movement feel more flexible and responsive to me.

That's because they officially launched? Though the live server is down now as well and a wipe incoming later today because of issues.

yeah i was just being a smartass. its weird that the official launch is so late at night but maybe the tahiti devs are australian or something
