First things first: The decision to go with the OG look for every character and not try to make them look different/new is an S-tier decision.
But I'm still torn. There are some obvious things that make me think it is going to be a "modern audience" movie; but then there are some things that make it look like they may have learned their lesson and that this is made for boys/men?

I don't know how to feel about Idris Elba as Master-at-Arms. I enjoy Elba as an actor, but why that role?? He's supposed to be Teela's dad, but she is clearly white. Also, we have to get Man-E-Faces, right?

It really sucks that we've gotten so used to raceswaps that we're like "eh its just Man At Arms". Why not just cast actors that look like the fucking characters? Are there no white dudes with mustaches left?

i'm with Juv if this was the trailer back in the 80's - the ~18 yr old me would be in line for the movie opening day, and the boys 8-12 would be wanting to see it.
looks like it MIGHT not suck...however, trailers do that. it MIGHT be good, it might be great, however it might flat out suck.
and i liked Battleship. the getting the old battleship running scene is awesome. esp with the ac/dc song.
and he-man didn't have spaceships per se. they did have flying ships/cars

Dude, he does. And they showed brief shots of Beast Man and Trap Jaw that were instantly identifiable because they look like they did in the cartoon. That is the best thing that trailer had going for it.
