Absolutely zero interest in this but looks like it will be somewhat popular.

I am honestly surprised no one else has commented in here about the game. I think I am going to take my time on this first play through, I have a feeling this is a game I will play for years. I never played Isaac until this past September and I have put in over 300 hours on it, just yesterday I was on a new floor i had never seen before called Ashland I think? That game is crazy awesome and Mewgenics has a similar charm with it own style of gameplay.

I played for about 30 minutes tonight, I enjoyed it a lot. Based on my experience with Edmund's other games I am pretty sure I will end up loving it. I played the first tutorial and the first mission/chapter? Total baby steps to start I only have 3 or 4 items out of the 900 in the game. I think they do a good job of spoon feeding you in the beginning, which is good for me as I have not ever played MTG and my understanding is this was heavily inspired by that.

Anyone else give this a shot yet?

Will buy it to tonight. Looks interesting and it's getting good support so far.

I hope the controls work on the Steam Deck though.

Just bought it, have steam deck that was suppose to be delivered Monday and than yesterday but still not here yet. Should be a fun game to play on that though and I always loved tactical RPGs.

Will be trying it after work today either way.

I'm always pumped to see Edmund doing so well, especially after Tommy Refenes took the Super Meat Boy IP and whored it out.

Played for an hour or so tonight, after watching a streamer play through the tutorial + a couple early fights. My run went fairly different as the RNG on the cat skills is pretty RNG. Especially this early in. Managed to beeline through the second map instead of heading back to town after my first real run. Pulled it out after a super sketch boss fight. Unlocked another area- the sewers and called it a night.
Soundtrack is growing on me for sure- and the build combo options seem pretty nuts.

The gameplay is pretty fun and it definitely has a lot of replayability. The "teehee quirky Millennial humor" is so fucking cringe though, and this is coming from a Millennial. I feel like I would be embarrassed if someone saw me reading the dialogue for this game.

I have never been so confused by a game in my life. After watching a Let's Play, the mechanics are absolutely phenomenal. Yet simultaneously, I have never been put off so much by the aesthetic of a game before. Like... I am a cat lover (obviously); but having to watch cats fuck, poop, become mutated and sacrificed to the neighborhood fag so he can ritual sacrifice them or something is repulsive, and isn't something I would look for in any game, ever.

If they changed the house system and toilet humor a bit, and slapped a Final Fantasy Tactics skin on this, you would have a GOTY contender.

....I am probably still going to wind up buying this.
