Warner Bros. has had enough. They’ve decided to ship ‘Mickey 17’ to digital on March 25 — that’s only 18 days after its theatrical debut. The film is expected to have a 60% drop and earn $7.5M in its second weekend. ‘Mickey’ is destined to cause a $100M loss for Warner Bros.

Fell asleep in the middle of this for 15 minutes. It is an absolutely boring ass movie. I already figured this out 45 minutes in and just stuck with it hoping it would get better. Then I realized the fucking movie is TWO HOURS LONG. Ffs.
I feel like Bong Joon Ho - the director - drew all his inspiration from Space Balls? Or was a big Space Quest fan as a kid or something? ... But he never figured out "WHY" that shit was funny. Or "WHY" people liked that shit. Absolutely nothing even remotely brought a smile to my face, or even evoked a slight emotion. The liberal shit making fun of the right wing shit, and dude portraying Trump and all that shit.. its just eye roll to me at this point. Unnecessary at best. But even without that shit, no way in fucking hell this movie would be any better.

Alright movie. Second half definitely went into a worse direction than the first half implied.
The sauce shit was weird. They should've just made reference to "protein" or something since animal husbandry would probably be a rough start on a new planet.
Could've been an 8/10 movie easily, but just kinda up ends up as a 5 out of 10.

The movie wasn’t that bad. The concept was solid and it was entertaining enough. People in the theater I was in laughed at various things - no it wasn’t raucous laughter.
Yes Mark Ruffalo is an annoying beta male dork who I’d rather not see. What I will say is whatever political statement they were making with his character was not extraordinarily over the top. His character didn’t really remind you of any particular political figure. There was a scene that was clearly a jab at MAGA hats. If you took videos of his character and showed them to someone with no context they’d never assume “oh he’s making fun of Trump.” I’m assuming the girlfriend in the books wasn’t actually black but even that wasn’t overdone. Yes, it’s annoying that Hollywood continues to insert multiracial relationships to an obnoxious amount - there seems to be a particular love for inserting a white guy with an unattractive black woman.
Those of you saying this movie was awful or boring are crazy. I’ll never watch it again and it’s disposable but it wasn’t awful at all.
People on the internet thinking this should win Academy Awards - lolno. I will say Robert Pattinson didn’t do a bad job for someone who comes from such shitty movies, but there’s no Oscars here for anything acting.

Got dragged to this. Holy fuck is this boring. I don't know what you could call the best part of the movie because none of it needed to be done. It wasn't funny, there wasn't any action, the plot was slow, and the TDS is maximum cringe.
This is the worst movie I've seen since Lucy. Thank God I paid for neither.

That sucks because I was kind of looking forward to watching it because even though it was stealing some sci-fi tropes, honestly like Pattinson as an actor which he is and he's not a movie star,.
I'll probably still watch it just because he's able to change his character based upon his role and he never plays the same person, which I guess at least allows me to watch an interesting performance even if it might be a stupid movie, if that makes sense.

It wasn’t aggressively offensive or bad, really. ImJust dumb and a waste of my time. The set up seemed really good for dark humor with him dying over and over, everyone around him treat him like crap, etc. Then sprinkle in some emotional or philosophical ideas about the soul and his simplistic “Lenny-esque” view on dying. I don’t know, I couldn’t write a porn. This movie just didn’t do anything.
