The last time someone tried to make this claim, I flagged a startling number of posts that, step by step, illustrated exactly how Hodj single-handedly and intentionally destroyed an entire thread. If you had assumed I'd be too lazy to defend myself, you'd normally be right. But at the time I thought I'd take you fuckers head-on and, as a result, you're just drinking the Kool-Ade and repeating hollow bullshit while I've actually got evidence that you're wrong.

Oh, and I've never made anything "about me". You guys made it about me, then complained like bitches when I defended myself. Would you like me to link Hodj's multiple-page pathetic whining rant abouthis"right to defend himself" (after he got in trouble for rampant shitposting)?

one of the problems with lenin's method of mob hysteria was that the definition was gulags were so fucking vague. Peasants basically assumed that to be either well off peasants who they don't like or just rich person in general. it was so fucked up.

A fair comparison, I'd say, would be the events after Chinese Communist takeover. In general, a lot of land taking from rich people were not as violent as some might think. Most of it was just public shaming for all the years of torment and suffering that was caused by the landlords. Some were of course violent. a few beatings here and there, all your possessions confiscated and shit...

it's not pretty heh.

They're making something out of nothing. People do victorian, egyptian, bavarian, roman, viking, highlander, greek, etc. and people don't get butthurt about the massive "stereotype" that obviously isn't based in reality.

Also the mediterranean "african" countries don't really reflect any kinship with their southern neighbors. Listing Johannesburg and Cairo as representative of Africa is rather disingenuous considering they are the product of external/peripheral entities that, again, don't see themselves as kin to their neighbors.

That's not to say Australians aren't racist. That may be true, but dressing up as some distant foreigner badly isn't racist.

How is blackface any more racist than putting on woad and wearing a kilt? It doesn't imply that you feel that blacks are inferior just because you're dressing up as one in costume.

And the KKK were white. How does dressing up as a KKK make you a racist of blacks? Maybe the intent was to make fun of the KKK which deserves ridicule.

I think a calm and rational Mik is a better advocate for his cause than the stuck in academia speak and tone of Dumar's. I have been convinced that the Maoist and Stalinist regimes are not truly indicative of the ideals and goals espoused by Marx and therefore aren't by definition, Marxist, despite what we have been told all of our lives. However, I just cannot accept the endgame of communism and its complete abolition of personal property and rights. It just cannot happen peacefully or fairly, which are seem to be in direct opposition to the spirit of Marxism. There's just always gonna be too many shitheads.
