Yeah I’ve played it off and on with our 8 year old the last few years as his interest in Minecraft has waxed and waned. Would be willing to give this a go. Our 2.5 year old is starting to get interested and we listen to that Dan Bull BOOM BOOM BOOM song about 800 times a day at his request.

If you’re poking around for more hints on what they might tweak or borrow from other versions, I’ve been messing with Minecraft PE with Xbox Live lately, and the steady flow of new mobs and tweaks there actually gave me a clearer picture of how Mojang experiments before bigger releases. Could be fun to compare the update patterns while we wait to see what this sequel really brings.

Not something I would play by myself, it’s kind of boring. However it was a fun game to play couch co-op with my son and his buddies. All four of us was a blast. Haven’t played it in a couple years so not sure if they’d still be into it but I’d check out the sequel if they are.
