Gloomhaven: Buttons and Bugs. It’s a small solo take on Gloomhaven, the maps are on the back side of the scenario card. It’s pretty impressive how much game they fit into such a small package.

There are a lot of tips at the beginning of this thread. I’ve never used a physical book but I do see good painters I follow releasing them now and again. I don’t know whose to recommend but maybe this will help.

What unit is that?
I bought (way too many) and painted Gunplas 4 years ago. I kinda fell off the Hobby a bit as I purchased most of the interesting units that I wanted (Master Grade Gundam).
Been in a gaming phase for a while but I still want to finish some of them.
I learned most from Youtubers and tried a few different methods.
These were the last two I painted I think. Psycho Zaku and Winged Zero.

Sadly I haven’t even built anything in a while and the most painting I do on my kits is maybe some panel lining or hand painting some of the details and for that I’ve just mostly used techniques I’ve used for mini painting or I’ve used acrylic paint pens. I do have an airbrush but I’m nervous about using it indoors, even with just using acrylics, but now that the husband is moving out and I have extra space in my office, I can setup my hood and have a window to vent it out of so maybe I’ll try and get some actual practice with it on something easy. I may also be moving in with my parents, so maybe not; part of the reason I haven’t really wanted to build much since I worry about moving completed kits

I'm just glad I built my entire pile of shame before I took a break lol. Would still like to paint them but I need the inspiration to return.
I kinda want the new PG Unleashed Gundam that's coming but I think it will be like $700 and Jesus fuck that's too much for plastic.

I took a break during covid and just started getting back into it recently, been fun. I found I just had to start browsing painted minis online and forced myself to just start something small. That made me start wanting to get to work on stuff again. Finished up ~8 models that sat half done/primed for a few years and now moving on to try to finish one of my bigger games that I have 1/3rd painted.
