That's why I hope we win in 7 against the Cards. Let the Royals cool off a bit, get them thinking about the game, and hopefully they come out flat.

I know all bets are off in the postseason, and regular season trends sometimes don't apply, but the Royals were a better road team than home team this year(47-34 on the road 42-39 at home), and they were especially bad in home games with big crowds(off the top of my head, we were something like 1-7 at home when we had a crowd of 30K+)
So if we can win tonight, I still like our chances of going to San Fran and getting 1, and possibly even 2 wins. After Bumgardner and Peavy(who the royals hit well), the rest of the Giants starters are trash, and that's who we will be seeing in games 3 and 4 more than likely, the trash.

Hudson was really good this year (he had a few poor starts), but he suffered from a huge lack of run support, similar to Cain years prior. Vogelsong is very inconsistent in the regular season, but prior to the game 4 vs. the Cards, he had a postseason ERA of 1.12 and WHIP under 1. He's a totally different pitcher in the postseason.
I just want the games to be competitive (entertaining). When pitchers are just dominating teams baseball just isn't that fun to watch, IMO.
