I think MLB made a good choice going with Pat McAfee as the host for the all star game. I didn't know who he was before this, but he brings a good energy to it that might draw in more people.

Ray Liotta famously bats right as Shoeless Joe, despite the real man batting left. Liotta tried to bat left but it didn’t look good, hence to sticking right.

however, a thought occurred to me: what if Jackson batted right on purpose to be courteous because Ray was throwing to him right? Like if he batted left, he’d show up Kinsella even more.

Nice head canon theory I cooked up just now

It's a massacre in Baltimore: after trading away four relievers earlier, today they traded four starters. CF Cedric Mullins to the Mets, 1st Ryan O'Hearn and LF Ramon Laureano to the Padres, and 3rd Ramon Urias to the Astros.

Just gutting the roster, and getting nothing but low-level prospects in return. I guess it's back to the 100-loss seasons for the Orioles.

Edit: Add a starting pitcher to the day's losses. Total of 9 players from the active roster gone in one big sweep. Has any team just wholesale wiped their roster clean like that before in such a short span of time?
