Sigh....I swear to Jebus
All last year, every time I bought a team hat for whatever team Kimbrel was supposed to play for, bad luck happened, usually got DFA'd.
So this year, I figured I’m not buying any Mets merch. I've been trying to get Kimbrel's autograph before he might retire, and I already tried at Dodger Stadium and Angel Stadium with no success.
I also decided not to buy any Mets merch, because I was concerned my luck would be like in 2025.
Mets will be in SD to play Padres next week: I was going to go and try to see Kimbrel because it was the last time Mets will be in driving distance.
I go ahead and I finally decide “you know what I’ll get a Mets cap and T shirt, there’s no such thing as baseball jinxes or curses”
*cue ominous music*
I make the order off Lids around 11:15 AM this morning
Even got the orange shirt because its cheaper, and because I want to grab his attention.
So, of course, what do you fucking think happens around 45 minutes after that?
