just let the ring girls decide whose on rhoids

Big ups to Glory for sticking to their guns and keeping the org drug free, forcing Overeem into permanent retirement. Nothing else was going to make Overeem retire. Glory had to bite the bullet and be the ones to sit him down.

I'm so pumped about this.

This is going to be our heavyweight champ in 2025.

apparently volk was ufc's 2nd choice to replace oliverira
gamrot was/is backup, but from some reason was skipped
1st choice, gaethje asked, but couldn't make weight
3rd choice, poirier asked, said yes and could make weight

USADA was also headquartered at UFC. They didn't just lose a client and a lot of money. They also lost their offices.

Questions had been raised over the years how legitimate USADA was due to their office space inside UFC.

Granted it was their own floors, separate. But the location and luxury raised a lot of eyebrows.

Yeah, but the amount of bitching the fighters did about them, and the list of fighters USADA took down was quite extensive. Like Jon Jones, Brock Lesnar, Lyoto Machida, Frank Mir, Kelvin Gastelum, Josh Barnet, Anderson Silva, Nogueria, Paulo Costa, and about a hundred others.

Also, the merger with the WWE might have changed some minds and stances on the subject.

wth, he could have easily gotten glue and adhesive sutures and wear makeup to cover that up for week

sure he would be ripped open w/ the first punch, but at least he'd make the fight and not miss out on ppv payday

The luxurious UFC office was where they operated out of.

They had a gigantic amount of space in the UFC building. To the point it was considered a conflict of interest by some journalists. They have to go back to their hole in the wall.
yea novitzky was always interviewed at the apex, i think he operated out of the pi, which is in the apex anyway

Gavinmad missed the point splitting hairs on the legal definition of headquarters. The fact is the USADA UFC headquarters was the place everyone wanted to be at, and where everyone wanted to work at. They go back to their little dingy rathole now.

Was it worth it? Falling on the sword over a guy who broke his leg and sustained severe life changing injuries?
