It ended like 4 or 5 small shots from Merab and then maybe one softer harder shot from Yan. I suppose in my head the larger shots don't do much more than small shots if there is no follow up
Maybe I was a little buzzed up but I had the fight 49-46 but no issue if it was 50- 45. Yan stuffed every takedown and smashed his face for 5 rounds. I don't see how anyone thought he won that fight

UFC veteran Alex Garcia was among three suspects arrested Monday in Montreal alongside 102 kilograms of cocaine and other drugs, cash, vehicles and guns in what local Canadian authorities called a "major" raid by the city's anti-gang unit. Montreal police announced the arrests in a news release Wednesday.

In addition to the substantial amount of cocaine, which is valued at more than $2.3 million CAD ($1.7 million USD), approximately 5 kilograms of heroin, 20 liters of GHB, $306,000 CAD in cash ($223,000 USD), three firearms and two vehicles were seized by police in the bust.

Garcia, 38, competed 10 times in the UFC welterweight division from 2013-18, compiling a 5-5 promotional record before being released following back-to-back decision losses to Ryan LaFlare and Court McGee. Garcia then competed twice more with Russian regional promotion ACA, losing via knockouts at the hands of Ibragim Chuzhigaev in 2019 and Abdul-Rahman Dzhanaev in early 2020.

Michele Laddaga, 49, and Victor Julio Sanchez Medrano, 45, were also arrested alongside Garcia in the raid. Arrest warrants remain outstanding for two additional suspects.

According to Canadian outlet CTV News, Garcia and Medrano have both been "charged with drug trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime," while Laddaga "faces charges of drug trafficking and possession."

On January 14, The Eagle-Tribune reported that Kayla Harrison will no longer be competing at UFC 324 after suffering a neck injury.

The report was backed up by Leo Walker Guimaraes, who wrote on X that he’d confirmed the news about the cancellation.

Guimaraes added that Harrison, who was skeptical of Amanda Nunes making it to the fight, will need to undergo surgery for the neck injury, writing, “The prediction is that Harrison’s return will happen in around six months.”

This timeline means that the only current American UFC champion could also end up missing out on fighting at the White House event in June.

Poatan indicated he's not fighting at the WH either (he insinuated it's because they aren't allowing Jones on the card). People noted Poatan often does PR stunts like that to start backlash so he gets his way. Still not a great sign. It's looking thin so far, and people have started to take wagers on it just being cancelled.

It's shaping up this month that they are going to need drugs McGregor on it.

I never thought that would happen when the event was first mentioned. But Tom is out with multiple eye surgeries and UFC dug in hard on keeping Jones off the card so far.

jon jones vs gane 2 for the new new new hw champ

Caving into to Jones is a better bet than banking on druggie Conor. I know Jones ruined the HW "title legitimacy" and DW is holding a personal grudge for doing bad business, but it was ruined when they let Ngannou walk. That's on Dana White for lowballing Ngannou. That was the original sin.

It's come out now Dana White is still dug in on no Poatan at HW, which was an issue last year also with the "Guys are too big at HW" excuse.

He is now saying he could do Jones Poatan at 205 at the WH. Fans will take it, but we also don't really want to see 2 guys in their late 30's doing a hard cut for a superfight. Jones especially I'd be concerned about.

He's hellbent on giving Jones some special conditions and punishments, and the 205 requirement seems to be one of them.

I don't get him saying no on Poatan at HW. Dude is 38. It's not going to be the end of the world for the company or LHW Division if he loses to Jon Jones at HW.

He kept saying Poatan has more fights at 205.

But that was before he knocked Magomed out. He'll probably go back to the "Tom Aspinall and Gane are fucking huge! Have you seen these guys" excuse since I don't see who people could name at 205 for opponents. It might not be fully cleaned out, but Jones moved up after robberies against Thiago Santos and Reyes also. Alex walks around at 240. He's not a natural HW like Aspinall and Gane-- but if Jones was allowed to move up then so should Poatan. I can't think of any more "fights at 205" that would interest anyone. And people damn sure don't want to see Jones back at 205. It'd be like demanding GSP go back down to 170 and take another fight with Hendricks. They let GSP move up and move on from the division. Not sure what the hair-splitting is with DW on this. Poatan is fine saying he's not fighting though if he doesn't get what he wants.

We'll see how that plays out-- as both Jones and Poatan are fighting against the UFC together at this point.
