Just curious how many of you picked Rampage. I picked Glover in this one.

Also, I don't think they will see big numbers tonight. There are a couple college basketball rivalry games on and I think the X-Games are on ESPN. It's a really good card, even the stuff on FX, but I'm not sure the casual MMA fan will tune in for this one...unless they liked the Daft Punk promo.

I picked Glover. Rampage has just been totally uninspired lately, yet before every fight he always talks about how he is in the best shape ever blah blah blah. So I don't see why it would be any different tonight.

Glover. Because Rampage is out there boxing MMA fighters.
Pithy, but silly. He's always been boxing them, he won the belt and was the last guy before JJ to really hold it at all with this technique. If he loses it's not some simple "Him not kick!" reason. He's a good MMA wrestler and he's strong-like-bull. At his best he was able to impose his game on opponents.

Fuck. I hate fighters that have shit for cardio. Russow needs to lose some of that fat and work on his cardio

Okay I am about as far as you can get from a Sonnen fan but that whole interview was epic.

Edit- Holy shit, that mustache

I love when Sonnen puts on his promoter hat, and yes Guida's porno-stache is incredible. Possibly as distracting as his seizure stance striking.

Edit: Fuck me Guida looks like Ben Stiller in Happy Gilmore with long hair, and I can't stop laughing.

Hrm, I Boosted a Guida decision, so happy there, but I thought Hioki won that, as Guida did nothing meaningful, 30-27 my ass.

Takedowns rule all...even if the guy on the bottom outworks him from the bottom.

Yeah, I had picked Guida to win but he didn't deserve that. I really wish they would do something about the judging/scoring in this sport. Takedowns with no damage done shouldn't mean shit, especially if the guy on the bottom is constantly trying to throw in subs.

EDIT: Wow, TJ Grant just schooled him with some sick elbows. And lolz at the blood on the camera.

Round-by-round striking totals of Hioki-Guida, per @FightMetric: 1) HH 31-16; 2) HH 23-12; 3) HH 20-12. Total: Hioki 74, Guida 40.

Thought Dodson won 3 out of 5 rounds. Hopefully there will be a rematch. He definitely needs to work on his cardio in the late minutes though.

Just got back from watching them. Got all mine (or the one's I cared enough about) right except 1 and that was the Grant / Winman fight. Though that was just a coin toss on my part since I really didn't know Grant and only very little of Winman. But holy shit I though Winman's eye literally exploded on that punch that basically ended the fight.

Rampage I was rooting for just out of nostalgia and being an old fan, but I had my money on Glover lol. Always sad to see the old legends just kinda fade away. And did anyone else think Rampage looked a lot smaller than he normally does in his fights?

Had Bader winning mainly cause he's still young and always improving, where as Vlad is getting up there in the years. I typically pick the younger experienced fighter over the older experienced fighter, though not always, there are exceptions of course

Pettis I already knew that was going to happen though I will admit I was little worried since it's been awhile since he fought and then even more worried when I saw him in the cage. Looks much smaller and not nearly as ripped as I remember him being. Did not disappoint though!

And of course absolutely was going for Johnson. So much so I wanted to see him kick Dodson's annoying cackling hyena laughing head right off into the crowd. Alas they are flyweights so that will never happen. I was impressed with Dodson early on though, he was really bringing it, but then he started slowing down and on the flipside Johnson just kept getting more and more energetic. Great performance by both of them IMO though. Definitely not a boring fight.

edit: As much as it pains me to agree with Calhoon I also think Dodson won 1-3.. but you know what they say: to beat the champ and become the new champ you really have to beat the champ decisively.

Oh and also, fuck Guida. Someone get Greg Jackson away from this guy so we can actually see some entertaining fights from him again.

I can't hate on that. You are right, it needed to be more decisive for Dodson. The good thing about the flyweight division is it is still pretty thin so maybe that rematch will happen sooner than later. DJ showed why he is the champ in the championship rounds and I really like both guys so I'm happy that it was a good more than anything. Let Dodson fight at 125 a couple more times though and I will make a sig bet that outcome won't be the same.

Grimm are you even in the pool or did you use a different name? I know you missed the picks this time around but you don't even show up on the list. Guess you might be ziggyholiday...but I'm happy to see those who have picked in the past 33 fights are all above 63%. No matter how much we might disagree here it seems everyone knows what they are talking about for the most part.

Hit see full list to view more than 10 people, Grimm is there.

Picked Dodson 'cause I've never really been that impressed with Johnson and figured Dodson could catch him, but Johnson is just a smaller version of Dominick Cruz now.

Pissed that I picked Russo. I waffled on that and while I was watching the fight I thought I had picked Jordan. Overall, not a bad card. Pettis is just ridiculous. I didn't think he'd run through Cerrone that easily.
