Damn that's a strong bitch. What ever happened to that Cyborg dude that killed Gina Caranno?
She pissed hot after her last Strikeforce fight.

On February 15, 2013, Santos signed a multi-fight deal with Invicta Fighting Championships. She will make her debut on April 5 at Invicta FC 5: Penne vs. Waterson against Ediane Gomes to determine who will fight Marloes Coenen for the Invicta FC Featherweight Championship

So Rousey and Carmouche both looked great so the women's division is off to an excellent start but...where does it go from here? Has the UFC actually signed anyone else worth watching or is Rousey just going to be the new Royce Gracie for a few years?

Who gives a fuck man. If Ronda can get another 20 first round armbars, more power to her. That fight was way better than the Machida/Hendo fight.

Side note, any fight that gets my wife yelling "holy shit!" at the TV is worth it.

Favorite fight of the night: Faber's.

Most even/tieish fight of the night: Machida vs. Hendo

Almost saw some teddies: Rousey's.

Fighter who looks like he does gay porn: Koscheck.

All in all, I had fun watching.

IIRC the UFC signed ~10 more chicks at 135. Dunno if any of them are good but there's plenty of shitty male fights on every card, no big deal if some of them turn into shitty female fights. Bring on the tits.

The only other chick fighter I recall seeing signed that I recognized was Miesha Tate. She's fighting someone at the TUF Finale.

What's it going to take to get Gina to come out of whatever hole she's in now. Gina vs Ronda would be $$$$.

Edit: Nevermind, This is a bad idea because there is no way Gina would ever make 135.

She isn't in a hole, she's doing acting parts. Probably gets more money for it without getting punched in the face. She's in Fast & Furious 6, among other things.

I don't think Gina has seriously trained in a while. At this point it'd be another

The main event was great. I think the UFC really lucked out having an exciting grapple fight between two women for their first fight. If it was a bloody standup brawl or boring fight it'd be bad for them.

I'd love to see Cyborg vs rousey but Cyborg apparently can't make 135. And I think they should wait until Cyborg passes a few tests and maybe looks like she's not juicing before signing her. I don't have a lot of jimmies to rustle with PEDs but it seems so much more serious when a woman is juicing than a man, given that the primary athletic difference between a man and woman is simply natural testosterone.

I was able to stream the Machida/Hendo fight and the Ronda fight as my wife drove home. I know it wasn't the most exciting fight, but I love Machida. The way that he always anticipates an opponent coming in and has a counter ready is just awesome. Of course against Hendo it wasn't terribly effective so it didn't make for a terribly exciting fight.

Rousey is what she is. I am a bit concerned that she is just too one dimensional though. I mean she goes in straight away for the armbar, she doesn't even try anything else. Of course up to this point it has worked just fine, but some fighter is going to be ready for it and be able to fight it off, at least I would think so.

I don't think Ronda would fair well against Cyborg. Maybe if she is off the juice she isn't as scary, but the way she raped all of her other opponents, I just don't see Ronda pulling the armbar on her.

While I agree with calling Rousey one dimensional, were you not watching when Carmouche took her back on the first armbar setup and had a standing rear naked/neck crank? She was fighting it off until she screwed up near the end of the round. Rousey's real test will be against someone who actually gets her into round 2.

Carmouche repeatedly tried to claim that she would be the one to stop Ronda's armbar. She had every training partner try to put her in one.

i could see a judge giving round 3 to henderson based on the 'takedown'.

*edit*

split decision. terrible judges are terrible. Or at least one judge is. I don't mind watching Machida fight. He's always a KO risk, just not against Henderson.
