Rofl holy shit it just gets better the longer it goes.

Edit: Jesus fuck I just saw his ear. Daaaaaaaaaaaamn.

Paramount got their way. UFC is now censoring fighters. Something Dana White previously said would never happen because he's not responsible for independent contractors opinions during the ESPN deal. ESPN/Disney couldn't get it done. But Paramount has a lot more pull apparently. Likely stronger relationships with UFC holding company Endeavor/TKO which worked directly in Hollywood for many years together. A quick call to Ari Emanuel and the leash went on Strickland.

He called Chimaev a goat fucker and got his mic completely cut off immediately

surprised they sold 16k, per much an apex card
UFC just doesn't have the same talent pipeline it used to. There's still a solid amount of talent at the top and they have a few decent "up and comers", but the big talent have all fucking fought each other and most of the fights they can make are boring retreads.

UFC has also been hesitant to build talent too big since Randy Couture and then Conor McGregor became bigger than the company. They pulled Conor off the Diaz fight once to teach him a lesson.

With the Paramount deal they don't really need to worry about building the next big thing anymore.

One of the few observations Ronda made recently on why UFC passed on the Carano fight. She's salty UFC passed on the fight-- but that doesn't make it any less true what she said about the Paramount deal. There is no more urgency to hype, build, or sell anything at the moment. Paramount is handing them a whole lot of money.

That card was terrible, not much to that. Oh it was also in Mexico .... Mexico sounds like a great place to be lately
