dana said khamzat kicked strickland in the dick

Didn't look like it. Think he's just bullshitting. Weird to use that to hype the fight though, since it'd put the fight at risk.

Gotta wait for Strickland to comment on it after the fight. He isn't free to speak right now because it could jeopardize the fight if he says he got hurt.

I love Strickland's personality but I don't think he's got a chance in hell in this fight unfortunately.

The way Khamzat fights is so boring too, I rewatched his fight with Duplessis and it was all boring, takedown within 15-20 seconds and all ground work every round. I realize thats good fighting and effective, I just don't care to watch it.

It's wild they called weight so quick, scale was still moving
Brother thats how its suppose to work. Holyshit, I see this all over reddit. If the marker has a sharp move to one side, weight is missed. The scale is set to a fucking weight, its suppose hover. This is why a pro can call weight while its still "moving". Even .1 over would have been a sharp move.

i was under the impression that if you made weight offstage, the scale on the stage doesn't matter. that scale only comes into play when you miss on backstage scale. remember one of the fighters missed and didn't say anything about stage scale, just the digital scale they gave him for his room and ones backstage were different.
asked the AIs, and they all said real weigh-ins happens offstage in private, but the ones with links didn't say that. then confuse weigh-ins off stage, on stage and the ceremonial weigh-in.
don't have time to dig into it more, but saw a comment on reddit saying the weigh was recorded backstage during a fight island behind the scenes.
also every chat i saw about this subject breaks down into conspiracy theories about ufc controlling the scales

i've been watching japanese fighters take inhuman amounts of damage and continue to relentlessly push forward for 30 years now, but there was nothing in tairas immediate future except more long term brain damage.

Possibly but he was retreating and still could have clinched. I was going for Van and am happy he got the W but it should have went a bit longer. If Van kept on him for a few more seconds stop the fight, if Tairas clinched then let it continue.
