This is the first ever thread I created in 20 years of lurking/posting on this board.

For a little background I have two older sisters and grew up in a house with a very nice upright Steinway piano. The sisters who were both made to take piano lessons, and both hated it, i first taught myself piano by picking out the notes to mario sonic and zelda. It evolved from there into learning other music.

Do we have any musicians here? I don't care if you have a band. I just want to know if we have a community who likes to create music.?

Yup! Been playing guitar for many, many years now. Music is life!

I have been creating music most of my life ( like since I figured out how to record on a voice mail machine I got from a garage sale)

I wont say I am any good at any specific instrument, but I can put together some decent songs sometimes. At least according to myself. I prefer stringed instruments, but also own and play a seriously stupid amount of synthesizers.

I've played in tons of punk, post punk, and grunge bands. Recorded most of them as well ( at least to get us off the ground or whatever)

I love making, and of course performing music, Its the one thing that I have never managed to stop myself from doing. There is just something inside me that can just keep generating music, and sometimes also bullshit.

I think I have created music in a bunch of different ways, through discussion forums ( one time I made a stem recording band with some people that were affiliates with pornographic advertising networks) most of the songs were terrible, and of course way too funky.
