i used to catch this guy on much music back in the 90s interviewing musicians from a pretty broad range of musical styles and only recently found out that he is still doing it on youtube.
he is a pretty eccentric guy but he does incredible interviews that really dig deep into the interviewee's background. his "gimmick," if you want to call it that, is bringing in "gifts" that usually have some sort of sentimental connection to the interviewee or influenced him or her in some way. the reactions he gets from people is probably the main draw for me but there are a lot of interesting facts about people that you probably wouldn't find in your typical interview simply because this guy does his research on the subject like no other.
