She was a smokeshow, back when the film industry understood the target audience that kept them rich.

Who the fuck knows.
I mean I remember seeing the original one back in high school or something after the original Scream came out. It had that chick with the big titties from that stupid Fox family show. I don't remember her name, but it was playing at the little three screen movie theater we had in town so you went and watched on the with your friends.
I didn't recognize anybody in the damn trailer so it's probably a bunch of nobody's and just made on a super cheap budget, and their banking on you'll get a new crop of kids maybe to go and see it. That whole Blumhouse model that the RLM guys always talk about.
Maybe it also has something to do with some sort of rights to the original, who the hell knows.
Pretty much. I was born in 80, that's why I probably saw a bunch of these Goofy horror movies and other random stuff back with my friends from high school and college. So the OG came out in 1997 (28 years), if the demo that saw it was say 16-21 they would be 44-49 today with kids in the age range when they saw it. Generational remakes are nothing new its just finally targeted at us lol and I hate it.
If you really wanna hate life the Beverly Hillbillies movie came out in 1993 which was 31 years after the show premiered and it lasted till 1971 which was only 22 years before the film. THis shit is smack dab in the middle of that.
Early reviews are all over the place. I'm also a bit wary of Tubi—Fox’s shitty ad-supported VOD service—acquiring the rights to it. Not to be confused with MUBI, which actually has good stuff. This is one of Steven Spielberg's daughters' directorial debuts, so we'll see if it's just nepotism or if she inherited any real talent from her father.I forgot about this movie. Wanted to see it back in the day.
