I watched this. It is both a terrible movie and also maybe the greatest drive in movie ever made. Acting is largely terrible. Editing, also pretty rough. Script... definitely needed some polishing. CGI is often awful. Practical effects, outstanding. The money clearly went into the practical effects. It also features the most gratuitous werewolf action probably ever put to film. If you like B flick this is a must see. It starts very slow but picks up almost half way and the last third is full speed ahead.

He's the biggest culprit in Fincher's decision to not renew his contract with Netflix. Dude sucked. Their biggest problem is no matter what movie they announce or buy the rights to people automatically think its going to suck since 95% of the movies they release all fucking suck. My guess is you are going to see more theatrical releases like what they are doing with the new Narnia film. They can't keep on their current path when they have to overpay actors since theres zero residuals to offer. With that in mind they will have to improve quality to get people on board on their films since good movies = more money to be had.
Their engagement metrics are also in the basement on their TV shows because it feels like they have an AI to decide on everything. My guess is there are going to take a wide swing into quality ala AppleTV, but also keep making their cheap reality tv shit to try to get engagement back up.

Yea. I am willing to bet they give more runway to shows with great reviews and audience reviews even if it ends up more niche. Them trying to make every show for everyone makes the shows for noone because they end up as a mess. They also need to learn how to get new seasons out sooner, and that requires them to stop being cheap an to renew shows MUCH faster.
