Are you kidding me? Didn't you know he revolutionized the entire league by dominating as a rookie and breaking every record? Especially the record for Most Poised Rookie Ever???I want Dalton to do well, but he's made some really odd decisions in this game when he's getting pressured. He needs tougher scrimmages.
We'll see how he does in the regular season, but I haven't seen much progress on his ability to go through his reads and progressions. It's hard with preseason being such a small sample size, however.I felt like Kapernick was telegraphing most of his throws as well, I mean he had 1 series where he had 2 tipped and 1 almost intercepted.
Plus the intentionally dialed back gameplans. We'll see how he does in the regular season, but I haven't seen much progress on his ability to go through his reads and progressions. It's hard with preseason being such a small sample size, however.
"ANY/A*- adjusted net yards per passing attempt: (pass yards + 20*(pass TD) - 45*(interceptions thrown) - sack yards)/(passing attempts + sacks). "I wish that guy had explained how he was ranking those QB's. He's got all kinds of links, but fuck if I'm going to sort through them trying to figure out how he calculated ANY/A.
Edit: I think I may have understood what he did now? Is it that 0 is 0 for the individual QB and not an average of all of them? And then +1 would be 1 extra ANY/A in the 2nd year? Or 3rd year? I dunno, he didn't explain it well enough for me still.
Yep, that's the R, relative. I thought he explained it pretty well. I suspect people having trouble just looked at graphs and skimmed the text. Something I usually do."ANY/A*- adjusted net yards per passing attempt: (pass yards + 20*(pass TD) - 45*(interceptions thrown) - sack yards)/(passing attempts + sacks). "
Sounds like he took those numbers and then compared them with the league average during the qb's career in order to take into account different stats for different eras
