Putting down hockey highlights too. Used to like Steve Young. Then he goes off calling Palmer elite and the Cardinals a veteran team that does thing the right way...right before dogging the shit out of them calling their last offensive drive a complete mess (though he's completely right on that).

Its been happening quite a bit lately, actually. If they cannot get the headsets to work 100% of the time, then they should just plain not be allowed at all to either team. Too much room for shenanigans and with all the money on the line its too much temptation for ethically "flexible" organizations to have control of the equipment.
from what i have read, while the nfl provides all the headseats and controls for said headsets, the home team supplies the people to operate (i could be wrong), this year, i believe, it is a new system that, apparently, has a lot of bugs- i remember the first game of the season- Pats Steelers, they had the same sort of issues and i think it was peter king reported that it was a new comm. system and that pretty much ALL stadiums were having issues with the system running correctly..
that said, hoping for third free coffee this week on friday (i had a free coffee coupon, the Patriots won, and they play again thursday) from dunkin donuts (if the patriots win, free coffee next day if you use a ddperks card-i have their app and tossed 10 bucks on it just to get the opportunity to get the free coffee- Iced coffee in my case, large mocha iced coffee, cream and sugar and a Very small amount of ice (most cups have that line about 2" up from the base, i tell them ice in the cup should not be higher than that line- i like iced coffee, not coffeed ice (i get about 2x more coffee that way vs the normal fill the damn cup up with ice they normally do)
