Vikings are a different team without Joseph, Smith, and Barr (who they were missing for most of the recent losses). I still think their offensive line is going to be the death of them, but with 3 of their best defensive players back I would expect closer games.

Weird thing is we know the 6 teams in the NFC playoffs already (barring 4 TD's and 4 two point conversions in less than 2 minutes), but won't know the #3, 5, and 6 seeds until the final game is done next week.

Gotta feel for Atlanta. They beat a 14-0 Carolina team and keep their playoff dreams alive, only to watch the Vikings take a giant steaming dump on the Giants and eliminate them.
No sympathy for the team that got beat by the Vikings, and the only reason they even had a shot was by some crazy tiebreaker head to head rule for 3 way ties.

To go further, no sympathy for a team that started the year 5-0 only to go 1-7 over their next 8 games. Tampa swept them, they lost to the Saints, they lost to the 49ers, and they lost to the Colts with Matt Hasselback.

No one to blame but themselves.

So if Houston wins their division you have 11/12 of the top 12 defenses in the league going into the playoffs. Washington at 17 would be the only exception.

Funny thing is Vikings were on a hot streak last time they played too and Green Bay had lost a couple...but they handled them pretty easily. GB just got the piss beat out of them today though so I just don't know. Vikings will already have a playoff spot clinched as well, it'll just be about being the division champs and getting to host a game.

Funny thought, Vikings winning next week would ensure they would host Seattle (as #3 v. #6)...Seattle beat the shit out of them. Do they want revenge, or look for easier match up against Green Bay again or the Skins?
Messing around with the playoff sim again and if Arizona beats Seattle next week the Seahawks are the #6 seed and playing at either Green Bay or Minnesota (whoever wins that game). If the Seahawks win they are playing against either the Vikings (if they win) or the Redskins (if the Packers win). My guess is even if Carolina wins early and secures the #1 seed the Cards are going to play hard to force Seattle to go play in the snow in Green Bay or Minnesota.

How many interceptions does Alex Smith have right now? Like, maybe 5? He went how many games without any?

And where is Colin Kaepernick right now?

Alex was always the better QB. You embarrassed yourself, Kirun.

Good luck winning games when you fall behind.

Smith runs that 3 n out offense pretty good.

Disappointed in the pats play it looked like they were playing flat. Most likely due to injuries. Although.......conspiracy theorist could say the coin flip and kicking could have been done to lose the game since by then Pitt lost and jets winning meant Pitt most likely out of playoffs....

At first I thought that but I can't see Bill ever losing a game on purpose. I may hate him but I think he has too much pride for that.

IN ALL HONESTY, i'd rather have lost to the jets and pitt NOT make the playoffs (their play - except for yesterday- worried me immensely) than win and pitt make the playoffs.

i get to tease my wife's father...mr. Panthers are going undefeated and winning the superbowl, on thursday night... i had a 10 dollar bet that the panthers would lose at least 1 games this year-including playoffs(made the bet on xmas)

to be honest, i thought they would finish 16-0 but then lose in the playoffs to seattle or arizona, but this makes it all so much better.

Steelers - need to win next week and either of these two things: the jets lose to the bills next week- OR Bengals win tonite & Chargers beat Broncos next week.(ie bronco's lose their final 2 games)

if the broncos win tonite then the ONLY scenario that the steelers make it in is for the jets to lose and steelers win next week.

lol @ this Colts scenario.

Colts clinch the South and No. 4 seed with a win against the Titans...
and Texans loss to the Jaguars
and Bengals loss at the Broncos
and Bengals loss to the Ravens
and Jets loss at the Bills
and Saints loss at the Falcons
and Broncos win against the Chargers
and Dolphins win against the Patriots
and Chiefs loss to the Raiders
and Steelers loss at the Browns.

PFT has a breakdown of the meaningful games remaining this season:

PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS FOR BOTH TEAMS
Bengals at Broncos tonight:If the Bengals win, they clinch a first-round bye and remain in contention for home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. If the Broncos win, they clinch a playoff spot and remain in contention for home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

Seahawks at Cardinals, 4:25 p.m. Sunday:The Cardinals clinch home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs if they win and the Panthers lose. The Seahawks will be the No. 6 seed if they lose or the Vikings beat the Packers. The Seahawks will be the No. 5 seed if they win and the Packers beat the Vikings.

Vikings at Packers, 7:30 p.m. Sunday:The winner is the NFC North champion and the NFC No. 3 seed. If the Packers lose, they're the No. 5 seed. If the Vikings lose and the Seahawks win, the Vikings are the No. 6 seed. If the Vikings and Seahawks both lose, the Vikings are the No. 5 seed.

PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS FOR ONE TEAM
Jets at Bills, 1 p.m. Sunday:If the Jets win, they clinch a wild card.

Patriots at Dolphins, 1 p.m. Sunday:If the Patriots win, they clinch home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

Ravens at Bengals, 1 p.m. Sunday:If the Bengals win out and the Patriots lose, the Bengals clinch home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

Steelers at Browns, 1 p.m. Sunday:If the Steelers win and the Jets lose or the Broncos lose twice, the Steelers are a wild card.

Jaguars at Texans, 1 p.m. Sunday:The Texans clinch the AFC South with a win. The Texans will also clinch the AFC South if the Bengals win tonight, so Jaguars-Texans would become meaningless.

Titans at Colts, 1 p.m. Sunday:The Colts can still win the AFC South, but they need to beat the Titans, the Texans need to lose to the Jaguars, and a lot of other things have to happen. One of those other things is the Bengals losing tonight, so if the Bengals win tonight, Titans-Colts would become meaningless.

Panthers at Buccaneers, 4:25 p.m. Sunday:The Panthers clinch home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a win. The Panthers also clinch home-field advantage if the Cardinals lose.

Raiders at Chiefs, 4:25 p.m. Sunday:The Chiefs clinch the AFC West with a win and a Broncos loss. The Chiefs also clinch the AFC West if the Broncos lose twice.

Chargers at Broncos, 4:25 p.m. Sunday:The Broncos clinch home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs with two wins and a Patriots loss. The Broncos clinch a first-round bye with two wins. The Broncos clinch a playoff spot with one win. The Broncos would miss the playoffs entirely if they lose twice and the Jets and Steelers both win.

In Regards to Manning and the HGH allegations..

first off, Pretty much Every Single Person ever Accused of taking PED's have adamantly denied taking them initially. and most, it has turned out, did take the drugs. do we need to go down the list

A-Rod
palmero
clemens
braun? (the mvp from like 2 years ago)-did not get suspended due to improper handling of sample
mcquire
armstrong
Bonds (still denies taking)

etc.
plus while manning denies taking- he is saying his WIFE's medical history is private- and hgh is used for some female fertility stuff and other health issues, so it is possible that Anne Manning DID take HgH from that clinic not peypey.

however the source for the story is recanting all of it blah blah, in this instance i'm skeptical about the story, but history has shown that...generally if an athlete has been accused of taking PED's, they have.

also HgH was not illegal in the nfl in 2011...

If I was Manning, and the allegations were 100% false I would hire the best investigative reporters on the planet, and drag that piece of shit through the mud until the only films he would be making would be in Miami doing BangBus.

I just wish we could all grow up and admit that we know they're taking shit, and then they can admit they are.

I'm not sure why we keep lying about it? Is it for the kids or something?

So the Carolina/Tampa game getting flexed to 4:30 PM might save my fantasy season, kinda need Palmer and Johnson next week.
