There are 2 ECHL teams named the Thunder. There's no way the NHL couldn't work that out.

Am I the only one who is kinda meh on the logo? It just looks like generic_modern_sports_logo_03 to me.

I'm with you on the logo not being all that interesting. As for the name that was just the one thing I remembered hearing, although maybe that was over the name "Yeti" which was another contender.

Outlaws was also on the list and there was a community submission for a logo and branding that was awesome.

I don’t hate mammoth or the logo though.

OK. After seeing all the "national" broadcasts I have so far this playoffs (and the normal "home" broadcasts). SOMETHING has to get fixed.... Especially on the ESPN broadcasts. So hear me out.

Option 1: Same broadcast on ESPN and ESPN2, except that one teams home broadcast (PbP and Color) team is on ESPN, and the other teams home broadcast team are on ESPN2.
Option 2 (the swingers option..) : Start as option 1 above. Between the first and second period the color guys swap, so second period you get either your home Play by Play with the other teams color guy, or vice versa, then Third period everybody goes back to their usual dance partners.
Option 3 (The building your hate option) : If they do option 2 above, you could in theory watch the first period with the opposing teams pair, second period with the swingers option, and third period switch to whichever has your home crew. So you always finish with the ones you love.

ANYTHING has be better than that abomination that ESPN rolled out for last night's Stars game. That and I'm spoiled to having Daryl Reaugh to listen to.

Pretty big bounce back game from Caps. Logan Thompson still strong. We need to start adapting to what officials are and aren't calling and start setting more of these picks. Montreal got away with a ton, and Carolina is using it to their advantage constantly in our O zone. We've got big bodies, set some picks to free up space until they actually call you for interference.

Watching what is and isn't getting called across games so far there's a part of me that thinks the league just might be thinking they've "pussified" the game too much and are telling the refs to loosen things up enough to 'let the boys be boys' because they KNOW the actual hockey watching public likes a nice dash of violence in their gladiatorial sports.

Officiating has been so inconsistent. Like in your game a no call on Wilson dragging down Svech in the 1st. In the Leafs game they called what's his name for embellishment when it couldve potentially been boarding (it wasn't but still).

About a hundred other instances this round alone. Officiating always sucks but it feels very chaotic this year.
