Canada was minutes away from losing multiple times prior to the final. This idea they're going to magically always win close games in single elimination is ludicrous.

I'm going to give us an outside chance. It's weird with the Olympic break, but Caps are 6-1-0 in their last 7 games. Getting Dubois back was a big help.

Welp looks like the Kings gave up. Foegele and Perry gone and nothing back that will help this year. Bummer for Kopi to end it on a lousy year.

Fine with me play the kids, they've been looking good so far. So much more energy out there, people finishing checks finally.

Really need to just rebuild at this point.

Man, buddy called me at 130 in the morning last night to tell me about Carlson getting traded. Not a total shock, there were reports out there that teams had been calling, and obviously his expiring deal was the biggest chip we had to move. Getting another 1st this year (assuming Anaheim makes the playoffs and we don't get their 2027 1st) could be big to let us pull off a trade for someone hopefully to fill the massive forward void we're going to have. Our cap space is actually going to be pretty insane if neither Carlson or Ovechkin re-sign. Carlson has already stated he'd like to keep playing beyond this year, Ovechkin I get the feeling this will be it.

I like the Wings getting Faulk, but the price was a bit higher than I'd like. I was looking forward to Buchelnikov coming over next year.

They better fucking make the playoffs now.
