With Detroit losing today, Habs officially clinched a playoffs spot with 6 games remaining. I’m impressed by our progress, we’re still the second youngest team and our core is the young players with most of the older players being support players.
And we are still in the top 5 I think as a team with best prospect pool.
We have an absolue ridiculous salary structure with most of our stars below 8M for like 5 plus years left on their contract.
I think the next decade is going to be fun for Montreal fanbase.

Cole Caufield scored his 50th last night, it was amazing. It's been so long since Montreal has a 50 goal scorer. Stephane Richer was the last 36 years ago.
Slavkowsky for his part got his 30th, what a power forward he's developing into.
Now let's see if Suzuki can get 100pts, he's at 98 now with 3 games to go. It's doable.

Legit thinking about dropping $400-500 on a ticket to Sundays game as it might be Ovechkin's last. I'm not totally sure he isn't going to come back for 1 more year, though, the way these last few interviews have sounded. Could have sworn he had already decided to hang them up prior to this season.
