Makar a little banged up. I’m not so sure that they steamroll Vegas.

I’d say Vegas has a better shot over the Avs than Montreal/Buffalo do with Carolina.

I'd usually fully root against vegas winning but the marner story would be too hilarious to pass up.

Also wouldn't mind a Carolina victory just to see that play out.

Buffalo would be my third pick as a cool story.

Avs kinda deserve it the most how they're playing.

Montreal would also be great cause I'm pretty sure those frenchies would go nuclear.

All in all I really just hope for good games ahead. Would be cool if all the remaining series ended up half as close as Montreal/Tampa was.

Another bonus with Vegas is Carter Hart. The comment section hate for that guy is incredible. Skinner winning Conn Smythe would have been funny but that dude winning it would be epic lulz. Never going to happen but a man can dream.

Montréal just broke a 40 year old record yesterday. It's their 30th comeback win this season. It has only happened twice in NHL history before in 1992–93 and 1975–76.(Both the Habs)

I still think Montréal/Buffalo might go to Game 7. I really don't think that Buffalo is done. They have a stong team but they are really weak in the goal.

If the Habs win against Buffalo, next weekend could be absolutely crazy in the city since the F1 is also in Montréal. Next weekend could be nuclear, like you said.

If we beat Buffalo and face Carolina, I’m really not sure what to think. Carolina is really strong, but Montréal went 3–0 against them this season and we always scored a lot of goals.

I can’t remember the last time the Panthers beat the Canadians. Doesn’t mean shit in the playoffs.

While I agree with your premise, it's not quite apples to apples here. The Panthers are a team built for the playoffs and they adjust quite a bit when the time comes but that style of play isn't possible during an 82 game regular season. Carolina isn't built the same way and that's why they've basically been swept by Florida every time. Carolina is going to play more of a style that Buffalo is playing and while I give the edge to Carolina regardless of who they play next, it's going to be closer to their regular season play than what a team like the Panthers would give you.

I mean, I had a sliver of hope that TB coulda made it to the finals and won, so its only logical I think the same about the team that took us out. I think Montreal has a real shot of taking it especially with the way they're playing and how deep their lines seem to be. I'm actually excited for both of these conference finals because its plays into the (probably undeserved) narrative thats been going on all season about pretender divisions (metro/pacific). I think maybe the pacific is deserved but metro is really top heavy like central.

Drama in Buffalo. I don't ask for much, I just ask for moments like this.

We did not deserve to win this but we did. F1 and ECF next week is going to make the city insane.

Buffalo is a promising team and they are for real. The East is going to be a death conference for years to come.

I don’t think the Sabres have much to complain about honestly. They tied the game almost immediately after a blown call where Montreal should have been on the PP. Dobes got absolutely trucked and nada. Didn’t hear many refs you suck chants on that one.

With that said they absolutely outplayed Montreal for 80% of that game but what can you do? Apparently that’s right where the Canadians want to be…

This is the correct take. Montreal certainly got outplayed in the game overall but the early whistle was a lot less egregious than no penalty on Dobes getting run over which resulted in a goal 10 seconds later instead of Montreal being on the PP. Lets not even talk about the extension bounce that took a game away that Montreal was better in.

The whistle in the game was the right call. If the puck continues to move after the whistle without being touched and goes in, it’s a goal. After the whistle the Sabres player poked at Dobes and that’s how the puck went in. The second and third periods were all Buffalo. Montreal really got outplayed. If that’s what they bring to the next series you can watch the Caines go 12-0 in the playoffs.

I was really excited Buffalo got this far, and I hate to see them eliminated, but I would so love to see a Canadian team go all the way.
