I hate to say it but I would rather of had the Lightning win than see this shit. I'd bet a paycheck or two Tampa/Carolina wouldn't look like this. It would probably go 6 or 7.

Literal physical exhaustion. They played 14 games before the series started compared to 8 by Carolina. They were totally gassed and were losing to Canes players that were on 2 minute shifts last night.

Carolina is also one of the best conditioned teams in the league. Brind'Amour is 55, still works out and skates with the team.

Montreal is one of the youngest teams though and is trending upward.

I really don't think fatigue or conditioning had anything at all to do with that series. Carolina through a combination of system/player skill is simply that much better than Montreal.

I'm hoping for a good series. Both teams roll 4 lines deep. I think canes have the edge here. Both teams have great D. Canes probably more defensive but Vegas tougher. Both teams goaltending has been superb. I give that one to Vegas. Vegas has the scarier top line. I'm hoping for a good series and predict Canes in 7.

Oh my... Dallas folks have a new holy war. Both the Mavs AND the Stars seem to have locked in moving out of downtown and to the north end of town for the Mavs, and a northern suburb for the Stars.
