I love that 2d3d style. I’ll def pick up that FF title if the playtime is long. I’d love to see FF6 redone in that way
Dread sucked leave my Zelda 2 alone no EMMI nonsense - CV2 and Zelda 2 best of the bunch come at me bro- i replay each yearly. If they remake either it needs to be full classic mertroidvania sotn as each were the forefathers of that entire game type. Zelda 2s world is still technically the largest Zelda
This remake is doubtfully a 1 to 1- they have done that w the 3Ds etc.
It will be modern visuals that fit the aesthetic and the world will be stretched out, with minimal “new” filler to fill the barren stuff.
You first leave the forest, there still will be a big spinny thing to your left…just 20ft away not 10… the tree trunk puzzle wont be just go through L R R L R to exit, it will be more like BOtW haze forest etc etc.

I'm a huge Zelda 2 fan. As a kid I live really far from the big cities.(6-7 hours drive) Asked my Dad for a NES with Zelda when he traveled. He didn't knew about games and got me Zelda 2 thinking ''2'' was better. It was my only game. Took me 8 months but the 8-9 year old me beated that game and it was my first NES game I ever finished. I had no guide and no internet. I think I called the nintendo hotline once or twice and no one speak english where I'm from so even that wasn't easy. Eventually I subscribed to Nintendo Power when they gave the Dragon Quest game.I would love a 3-d re-imagining of Zelda 2 as a dark souls lite type game.

I replayed it latelly on switch online. It's a brutal game. I still had lot fun but thank God for rewind feature.
There is some arts of the game that has a Dark Soul vibe from back then.

Had me until “heroes resonate across…” with all the random “MEMBER TERRA?! MEMBER SQUALL AND CLOUD!?!!!! Mmmm memberberries”
It’s pixel and looks nice but soo soo spam numbers NUMBERS BIG MMMM GUUUDD and STAGGAR!! So its “turn based” but focused on managing turn order rather than, moves/attacks/item/magic etc… just more fools that played classic wow rouge stun lock is leet!!!!
ok historically looks like you'll find a sweetspot at 512gb for $100, pny just dropped theirs down from 120 since the announcementsgod damn do i have to buy a microsd express now
I remembered it was hoverbat who made it.I love Zelda 2, it still is my all time fav - followed by BoTW.
That art is an example of how the game was felt by me lol- they had great art for it. It is a hard game, but once you learn a few tricks you can "get good" - I mostly replay it on the little game and watch thing they released Zelda 1 + 2 + Awakening on a while ago- it is full color backlit and battery lasts forever - it has no save state or rewind and I can get through the whole game, I still have to look up a map for the final castle, if I do not want to take forever, I know the general pathway now so I can get there without a map if I feel like it.
My current save is a "NG+" where I go through the entire game and do not do the crystals, then once at the end and maxxed out I go through and do do the crystals to get tons of +1 lives then bum rush the final temple. I also have done a play through where you leave all the bosses alive (and the crystals) then come back and just wreck them for fun. The bosses and temples are really the highlight of the game. I wish there were more "things" to find out on the map and little things to do... a real remake would be awesome.
I always stumble upon and then never get up and running- the one dudes HD+ remake remaster he did, that expands the entire game makes it 16:9 etc. - see now just talking about it I forgot where it was etc on the internet and now I will have to go look for it.
