Edit to add - I did break down and grab the Switch 2 off an EBay deal, an open box for $400 delivered. With my library I figured it would be nice and I’ve been playing a bit of Hogwarts Legacy and picked up Cyberpunk 2077, and the prospect of portable FFXIV intrigues me as well. Need to sell my newer Switch 1 - debating on whether to keep my jailbreaked release version.

I’m using one to charge my Switch controller. And yeah I picked up a 512 GB SanDisk express SD card from Walmart for $98, was the best price I could find at the time.
Really sorry for the delay. I was busy and didn't had much time to check online.
Didn't tried it yet and didn't knew it existed. All I really wanted was a better grip and it worked out of the box. I want to try it but what you wrote is not really encouraging.

yea i looked to the manual, the controller has native macro/turbo adjustment (turbo also functions as macro button, only if you assign it to the back buttons), simple i just want the back buttons to be L3/R3
oh and i wanted to turn off lighting you press turbo + u/d, and if you wanted to adjust rumble it's turbo + l/r
but i wouldn't ever use the fucking app horror show

Got the Switch set up last night. It came with a code for a free game so I put Mario Cart world on it. Played with the wife. Fact is if the wife didn't show interest I was sending it back. I have a gaming PC so this feels like a giant step back. Anywho, she's trying to steer with the controller , like left / right with the whole thing not the joystick. Then I try to get her to understand you don't have to use your thumb and pointing finger to move the joystick. She's getting there. We tried using half of those little joycon things but man is that aggrivating. I also ordered a controller ($89 Fuck Nintendo) so we could play side by side, that was better.
Baby steps but I think I'm keeping it.

Well it helped her some, she's just got to get used to a controller. Hell I had to as well initially.
Ended up picking up a switch 2 from Walmart last Thursday. Mostly got it because I been wanting to try xenoblade, didn't really want to emulate it. Playing through xenoblade chronicles 1 DE, combat is a little convoluted but man it's a pretty nice game and scratches the right itch for me. Already played this switch way more than my steamdeck.
Also picked up unicorn overlord and fire emblem three houses, will probably wait till after I am done this xenoblade before trying either of those though. Hell if I am not burned out on xenoblade yet might just jump straight to X DE. My last non PC/steam console before this was a 360 and this is only my third Nintendo device besides OG nes and gamecube. Needless to say I have lots of exclusives to check out, so far pretty happy with the purchase.
EDIT: did want your guys opinion if I wanted to try to get into pokemon what would be a good switch title to start with ? My only experience with it was dicking off with some of the older gameboy ones in emulators nothing serious, was thinking maybe Violet since it has switch 2 upgrade or at least will have one.

If you do end up liking XC1DE the Switch 2 version of XC2 is coming out at the end of the month. Funny enough I just finished a replay of XC1DE with the upgrade and the visual/fps boost felt great. My second time playing through the game and it's still really damn good. Looking forward to the Switch 2 version of XC2 as that is the game that needs the upgrade the most.

Yep I'm hoping by the time I get to each one the DE version is out, I was going to do Chronicles X DE after 1 since that is already out. Plus I hear that one has a little less story and mechs, so might be a good change of pace.
