They could really compete with GTA by letting Saria be the main character and getting the master sword. There won’t be a young Saria ending. Instead her and Zelda embrace and fulfill their unrequited lesbian love. The last scene shows a boy link bouncing around without a fairy at the Deku tree, getting scared of his own shadow, and acting a fool. Like all white men.

Anyone have some sort of grip or joycon replacement they really like for Switch 2? I've been looking at the split grips you can only get on Etsy but ~$30 seems like a lot for two pieces of plastic when I could get the Jsaux hard case for less.
Really wish Hori would get off their asses and release a Split Pad Pro 2. I definitely don't want to spend $100 on the Mobapad M12S or Nyxi Hyperion 3, the reviews aren't that great and I'd just want to dump them for Hori's version whenever it finally comes out. Not a fan of the slide-in ones either, they use Bluetooth instead of connecting like joycons and don't fit in the dock because of the bulky battery on the back.

I've been using the dbrand grips and they feel great. You can order just the grips for $20 by selecting "don't need the case" at the bottom. I did need to buy an L shape usb adapter for the dock as the grips will block the usb port there.

Really wish they'd put at least one usb-c on the dock this time. I tried using the one on the top of the Switch 2 itself, and it does work... but only when the system is actually powered on, so that's basically useless.

Looks fun and I'll definitely play it but I was expecting more in the graphics department. It looks like a remake for the original Switch.

It looks like they decided to keep it as close as possible to the original but make everything prettier and slightly bigger, more detailed, with more rich environments. It sounds like a good balance.
It's almost comical how the "changes" they announced were "You can now move the camera around freely" and "You can now jump with a button". You made a nearly perfect game in 1998 so now it's hard to add anything to it without making it worse or upsetting the lighting in a bottle, so you should touch as little as possible.
If this was a Rockstar direct, they'd be telling you about the physics engine behind Epona's genitals when it's cold.

I see what you mean, but I think they also wanted to keep it as close to the original art style as possible, which kind of loses itself a little if when you go from N64 polygons to Unreal Engine DLSS5 if you make it such an abrupt upgrade. It feels like they tried to aim for a middle ground between nostalgia and modern graphics.

I was genuinely skeptical when it was first announced. OoT 3D felt like a middling experience.
This actually looks fun and like it's worth the investment. Aesthetically, I have my complaints. But ugly stuff ends up being bangers all the time.

My understanding is that for Nintendo is still doing physical releases, meaning not just a keycard, for 1st party games. 2nd and 3rd are all key cards.
I haven’t watched the direct but they have to say it’s a key card in some areas. Not sure on US.
