New Fire Emblem is really good. I wasnt planning on getting it due to WoW Forever beta but the reviews and word of mouth made me try it. Now I cant stop playing it and am not even bothering with WoW Forever beta. Only on the Dietrich story so far but plan on doing them all.

I wish Fire Emblem would go back to the pre-Awakening days. Awakening itself wasn't a bad game but the 'dating sim' side of it brought in the worst fanbase (people that make TV show "shippers" and yaoi fangirls seem well adjusted) and that's the group that IS has been catering to ever since.

It's hard to resist Fortune's Weave with the reception it's getting, but I really don't want to blow $80 on a game I might end up punting just as fast as I did Three Houses. Everybody loved that one when it launched too.

I wouldn't let the weeb or 3 houses entry hold you back if you own a switch 2. They've made something special here. I didn't enjoy 3 houses either. I caved and bought digital on this one because I was able to get $80 for $70 nintendo cards off newegg. Don't you gamefly anyways?

Maybe my opinion will change as I get deeper into the game but for now I feel like I'm playing a can't miss epic jrpg.

Nah, I dumped them when they jacked up the price and shit on people who'd been subscribers since the beginning at the same time.

I guess I could get it for $70 right now if I really want to gamble on liking it more than 3H though. My local Walmart still has the physical cart at the pre-release price and there's a code for $10 off pickup orders that I've still got two uses left on. (Edit: Apparently Walmart decided they didn't like people using this on games, it worked last week but is ineligible now.)

Physical cart is $70 at Walmart (and Amazon because they always price match that discount on NIntendo games).

The standard price for eShop gift cards at Amazon is always at least 10% off ($10 cards for $9) if you want digital. Probably even cheaper on Eneba too.

if you have dashpash on doordash (free with lots of shit like t-mobile, some credit cards, disney+ even) there is an offer where you pay $70 for a digital key (delivered within a few mins) and you are supposed to get a $25 doordash gift card

i tried it with another game (star fox) and it gave me the key immediately but 24h later still hasn't given a $25 gift card. i used doordash credit that ive had for like 3+ years (gifts from random corporate events), never order delivery so i'd rather burn it on a switch 2 game than junk food but there's a good chance you'll never get the $25. might be because i used credit instead of a credit card

I went ahead and ordered the physical copy of fortune weave from Nintendo. I am still like half way through xb2 so even if it takes a couple of weeks to come I will probably still be playing xb2 or dlc anyway.

Will either play that or zelda botw after I finish xb2. Haven't really messed with nintendo since nes so there is a bunch of games in my backlog.

Had to jump through a bunch of hoops by adding a banana then switching from delivery to pickup a couple times and removing the banana, but it did finally work. Strangely the SAVE3X code I used for my other two recent orders wouldn't work at all, but FAST30 did.

It was a bit of a hassle just to save $10, but I just refuse to pay more for FE than I did for TitS 2nd Chapter when I know the latter is always going to be the far superior game/series.

For anyone interested, there's a demo up for Stellar Blade on Switch 2.

I wouldn't bother if you've played it on PS5 or PC though. The combination of DLSS and FSR framegen is appallingly bad. It looks and runs like ass, and the input lag from framegen is horrible. Lots of really noticeable 15 fps background animations, tons of pop-in, and all the other jank that's expected from UE5 as well.

^ I wish Nintendo would release a proper “pro” console at least on par with PS5 and not portable.

I have a feeling that Sonys rumored PS6 handheld is gonna be shit too.
