Did they nerf glory from Teahouse donations? I'm literally getting like 2 or 3 glory for 120+ level purple items when donated.
I was wondering this too last night when I was donating a few items for the daily, but I think that's just how it's always been. When you first hit endgame it's easy to rank up a few clans to get the max effects, but that's because you are looting hundreds/thousands of items that are +0 and useless for any other purpose. Then you get to the end of NG+ and almost everything dropping is +2 or above and you end up soul extracting all of it for azure ore and suddenly your glory gains come to a screeching halt.

So yeah, 2-3 is normal for 120ish items. 150-170 drops still only give 3-10, and even having +4 or +5 doesn't increase it at all.

It also doesn't help that clan battles have been broken since day one and give no rewards. I've heard that setting up your game as a co-op expedition even if you password it and don't let anyone else actually join gives pretty big amounts of glory, but cannot confirm because I cancelled PS+ a long time ago.

Yeah, I've been dismantling a ton of crap as I'm about to hit new game+ so I guess I was just donating a massive amount of crap in the past. What rank do you need in order to keep the clan effects and transfer clans?

Jesus I had no idea I could do this.

Can also do similar things with crafting and materials, donations for boons etc.

edit: Also turn off action camera, screen shake, and increase camera distance. Makes combat far less chaotic feeling.

This helped a ton! Game is more fun to play now. Thanks :) I maxed out camera distance and did the others it’s literally night and day. Anyway to turn off all the floating shit?

Yes, can turn off all damage numbers as well.

Lol I can’t relate to people who don’t check settings menus before playing. Literally any game I play, the first thing I do is scour the options menus top to bottom looking at every single option.

For these games it was actually frustrating because there’s so many damn options haha

Yeah I always check settings but finding a couple of those were needles in a haystack.

Not high. I think you need to rank up twice in order to keep the bonuses selectable. And you need Minister (30k IIRC) to have the max rank available.

Well I did it, I beat Nioh 1. That game is HARD, especially the final battle (Orochi, not the final final thing). Sloth didn't trivialize it nearly as much as people say it does. Went with Axe and heavy use of Sloth, Weakness, and Pleaides+Energize (or whatever that other talisman that starts with E is) during super saiyan mode.

Nioh 2 is about halfway done (flipped between the two games the last few months) and just as hard. Using Axe again in that but now I'm also weaving in Kusarigama (just because it lines up with Ninjutsu on scaling), along with Sloth, Weakness, and this time Ninjutsu (feathers are pretty damn awesome) which I ignored in the first game. Fight the enemy down to low ki and then bomb them with feathers, it wrecks bosses. Shuriken and Kunai are great for getting to bosses, I usually blast those naga-medusa things with them because I'm terrible at fighting those.

I cleared things like Sekiro, Wo Long, and all of Fromsoft's games without much trouble, but Nioh is a whole other ballgame, and I have to scratch for every possible advantage to win in Nioh.

Wasn't planning on playing Nioh 3 after this, but if it's easier than the first two and Tonfa is OP as I've read here...maybe I'll give it a whirl. Don't want to spend a huge amount more time in this series and Nioh 2 is already going to take me a couple more weeks probably, but I'd really like to do a Tonfa playthrough in one of these.

Thats a lot of Nioh all at once, especially if you do any of the post game stuff in the second one.

People were saying that the Tonfa is really good/OP in Nioh 3? How can I make an OP Tonfa build? Just invest in the main scaling stat and profit, or is there a technique to it? Axe'd my way through Nioh 1 and half of 2 (so far) and would really like a change of pace for 3.

I was gonna post but this tells you better, but not really endless and Tonfa is strong but I don't like how long some of the animation locks are. Focus on maxing your damage as it already does decent Ki damage.

It isn't as much as it seems, considering Nioh 1 was spread out over like five years and I started Nioh 2 at the beginning of this year. I've spent probably 5 hours a week on Nioh on average in 2026, if I had to guess, which yes is a fair amount, but not enough for me to get sick of it. Have about half of Nioh 2 left but I might jump ahead to Nioh 3, like how I started Nioh 2 when I was probably 70% through Nioh 1.

Too bad Nioh 3 doesn't seem to be on the beneficiary list for this new PS5 Pro.

Actually, probably more like 3 hours a week, not as far in Nioh 2 as I thought. I'm near the end of the third main "world". No plans to do anything with the DLC.

Got some nice bonuses at the beginning of Nioh 3, probably because I played the demo? Ice armor, lightning armor, and another one. The gloves and boots have awesome electric crackling around them. Chest does too, but it's also pretty ugly. For some inexplicable reason I made my demo character an Asian Redhead and she looks pretty damn weird, so my first goal is to get to where I can change hair color. I wish Nioh 3 were a bit more straightforward like the others. Right now everything is all open and I think I'm supposed to go through the crucible beyond Naotora Li. Maybe it'll be more straightforward, or make more sense, as it goes on.

kind of regret staying with tonfa, it just trivialize everything.

How do you get tonfa to trivialize everything? I want to trivialize everything.

Got to the big boss with a fire head and an ice head, got absolutely clobbered. Went and grinded ten or so levels to get some tonfa practice (went from about level 8 to about level 18) which didn't take long at all, then tried again. Can actually put up a fight now, usually get him down to at least half. Best go he was at about 30%, because I used Living Weapon form once he was staggered and I was in a good position, instead of popping it out of desperation.

Still feels like I'm playing Nioh totally wrong. I clobbered all the Soulsborne games, I finished Sekiro (that one was tough), I finished Wo Long. All of them I "got". Then I get to Nioh and it feels like I'm playing wrong. Like playing Killer Instinct using only special moves and never learning how to combo. Think I might just bail on Nioh 3 and go back to Nioh 2, finish that and be happy with the series.

Telling you the animation lock is insane on the tonfa, at least with axe it is for huge damage/ki damage. Until you flesh out anything though you need to put the time in. Most things are kinda meh until you unlock some skills and have the stats.
I would say try the spear, get the pole vault attack and go from there. Seems like it would be your style.

if you must go ninja then single sword starts really strong, enough to get your base stats going.

Finally got around to beating Nioh 2. Really good game, probably the best non-Fromsoft game of this type aside from Lies of P. I never felt like I really learned to play it correctly though, and it was a struggle. No plans to continue onto Nioh 3, though I gave it a good few hour try with the demo a month or two ago.

You can see from the blue lines where I just kinda fell off with doing everything in this game. Not gonna do the three DLCs either, DLCs from this company tend to be pretty rough. I finished the SOP and most of the Wo Long DLCs with great time and tedium. They make their DLCs for players that want to live on the game and spend a while farming gear tiers and whatnot. Na, I'm good. Wish they just made normal Fromsoft style DLCs that could be tackled with an endgame build without issue.

Here's the build I ended up with, heavy emphasis on Ninjutsu damage. Makes the game much much easier. However the only weapon type that runs off Dex at any good level is Kusarigama, which I found very hard to use, and the game got a lot more fun once I switched to Spear about 75% of the way through (even though without the stats for it it was underpowered, like 750 damage vs 950 on the Kusa). I relied on the Axe in the early game, which got me through Nioh 1. Liked how Japan Geralt shows up in this game and helps you with the final stages. Great game, just wish I "got it".

You went spear but stayed dex?! Scaling off Con/sta is what makes spear so good with warrior of the east set.
