My favorite thing was farming Obsidian Warrior (Yasuke) for chunks of EXP mid game. Went from level 70 to 110 real quick and then flew through the rest of the game. I probably killed his ass about 50 times. Start the level (it's a boss fight only), cast Sloth, unleash a full salvo of ninjutsu on him while he charges. Ded. You get 40k or so combined between him and the stage complete bonus, plus a 20k crystal that can be popped later en masse.
