Shocking. Who could have predicted this?![]()
Nvidia CEO anticipates supply shortages for the RTX 3080 and 3090 to last until 2021
If you want one of these cards, you’re probably going to have to wait until 2021.www.theverge.com

You'll be waiting til next September to see a 3080 in stock.Like I said, it's not fucking new. I didn't get my 1080 until September and they "launched" in May.
There better be a fucking zillion 3070s.
The windows 95 comparison is pretty bold as well.Shocking. Who could have predicted this?
It seems to work quite nicely here in Europastan. I see people on forums get cards every other week with estimated dates.I wish everywhere just set up a queue system that tells your your place in line. Sign up and “You’ll get the 20,134th card, estimated in December.”
Update you as they get stock in.
I'm still partial to NVIDIA running an open bidding system.I wish everywhere just set up a queue system that tells your your place in line. Sign up and “You’ll get the 20,134th card, estimated in December.”

Nope.
I'm willing to fornicate with a non fat, clean, healthy, genetically biological woman with good dental hygiene who can give guarantee me an inside line on getting my hands on 3080

yeah a lot of the Euro stores let people order 3080s and just update once a week their position in the line, like people will get emails "you are 148th in line for a 3080, we estimate late Nov delivery".
i guess America is too capitalist for queues, everythings gotta be Black Friday for us
At least I could stop trying to pay attention.
Just let Wall Street handle it. Everyone places a buy order, the highest price that sells the entire stock for the day gets to sell the whole thing. A little bit like stock trading works.I'm still partial to NVIDIA running an open bidding system.
???
I quit paying attention launch day when I didn't feel like going to the store.
Now I read here for chuckles, and am waiting to see AMDs cards. Which will likely be supply constrained as well
Yeah, I’m not really actively trying. Just checking up on how supply is doing via this thread and articles trying to get an idea of when these will stay in stock for more than seconds or at least not site crashing traffic. I’m not expecting that to happen this year.
