It seems to work quite nicely here in Europastan. I see people on forums get cards every other week with estimated dates.

yeah a lot of the Euro stores let people order 3080s and just update once a week their position in the line, like people will get emails "you are 148th in line for a 3080, we estimate late Nov delivery".

i guess America is too capitalist for queues, everythings gotta be Black Friday for us

I’d be perfectly fine with that. I don’t have the time to camp a website trying to squeeze in. Even if it said “You’re estimated for March” with updates as they get orders out the door I’d be cool with it. At least I could stop trying to pay attention.

I quit paying attention launch day when I didn't feel like going to the store.

Now I read here for chuckles, and am waiting to see AMDs cards. Which will likely be supply constrained as well

Just let Wall Street handle it. Everyone places a buy order, the highest price that sells the entire stock for the day gets to sell the whole thing. A little bit like stock trading works.

prices were dropped steadily for a few days but climbing back up slightly now, $1325 for a 3080 FE right now which after fees is like $1100 to the seller, which is like a $350 profit

Yeah, I’m not really actively trying. Just checking up on how supply is doing via this thread and articles trying to get an idea of when these will stay in stock for more than seconds or at least not site crashing traffic. I’m not expecting that to happen this year.
