AMD drivers have been good for quite a while now. Their problem is moreso that Adrenalin sucks ass compared to nVidia's suite.

I think the main issue I have with their software is not knowing what the fuck some of the options actually do. Even searching their website gives zero answers, combine that with no one really trying VR with AMD and you have nothing to refernce to try and improve performance, clarity or whatever.

The amount of people shitting on VR with AMD is wild, it's all hear-say, so in turn there is no information, software or guides to help get more out of it. People will burn down their house with a 5090 before trying a cheaper and just as good AMD card.

I have a 4070 and at one point this year I had to download a new driver 3 times in less than 4 weeks for video games. Fucking ridiculous.

This BS here. Do we really need a new driver for every fuckin game?

And that is precisely why Adrenalin sucks. It's so goddamn unintuitive. I'm sure there are good options in there or tweaks to be made, but fuck if anybody can figure out how.

Was thinking yesterday and realized that I have not had a single driver problem with AMD cards in over a year, and this includes VR. Everything has worked flawlessly without a hitch. Have we finally turned a corner?
I had a driver that I had to roll back on my 7900XTX (Bought in Feb of 2024) but it was a beta so I guess that isn't really fair to complain? AMD has been more mature. I also had angst about going with AMD based on their drivers. But I also didn't want to have to take out a 2nd mortgage to buy an Nvidia card.

Ok gang, genuine question here not a troll. Do you actually use that shit? I configure my card per game, I have all those options in the Adrenalin suite turned off. I never used Nvidia's configurator suite past turning on SLI (when it was still a thing - god that makes me old).

Nope. I never used any of the Nvidea/AMD settings in their apps. Always went in game to adjust.

Super series has been pushed back to Q1-Q2 2026 according to rumors. Still running a 4070, thinking of going AMD for the first time since forever but I might hold out for the 5070 Super if the price point is good.

Ok that makes way more sense. Here is another serious question. What percentage gains to you see from OC'ing? I pretty much stopped when getting 30-50% gains was not possible.
Don't really know %. I'd guess maybe 10% if I were stretching
